Hello old chum, just a quick enquiry if you don't mind. You know when people come to get their photos processed... what happens to them if they don't pick them up? Does it happen often? Do they have to be chucked out after a certain length of time? Is it possible for members of the public to acquire them? I guess that's 4 questions really. I only ask because i'd like to base a wee project around some "lost" photos, but i'm not too keen just to ring up the photo shops in town and start hassling them. They might think i'm weird. |

What happens to them if they don't pick them up? We file them away and afterr a cerrtain amount of time we rring the perrson, then if they don't pick them up again we rring them once morre. Does it happen often? Yes, verry often, people arre stupid. Do they have to be chucked out after a certain length of time? Yes, but that time length varries, sometimes we have picturres almost a yearr old, sometimes they get collected and thrrown in the space of 3 months. Is it possible for members of the public to acquire them? No not rreally :( |

you could try finding old photographs in antique stores and markets. you can especially find whole photoalbums at markets. |

Do you do an extra contact sheet if the photos are funny/rude? I guy I once knew who worked in a photo lab would make a fair amount of cash selling snaps of celebs to the tabloids. |

They are not known in Canada, I grew up in England. Strangley those were the first celebs I could think of, I don't know what a psycoanalyst would have to say about that. |
