I don't know if it was done on purpose but the thing w/
removing the first two letters of the title then repeating
it looks really really nice

Anyways yeah this is all from a 300mb or so MP3. Better have
some pretty specific instructions if you want me to get just
a single track of this to you...

I had my program recording until the end of transmission and
no such tracks have been downloaded. I think rezpenzi was
joking about those, but on the other hand, I may have fucked
up...

ha, i'm in exactly the same position as vlari - we used the
same program i think (steamripperx ?). with some of the
missing tracks i think they were very short tracks and so
added onto one side of the other tracks since the program
didn't recognise the change - as i've up to nine versions of
some tracks most of them with slightly different times and i
saw some of the missing track names show up in itunes. i
don't know why those tracks this morning didn't reccord
either... i was asleep.

yeah, i had to use amadeus II (that mp3trimmer was terrible)
to splice cut & paste for some hours to fix it.

offline handoverthecart on 2005-04-09 15:25 [#01558373]
Points: 2017 Status: Lurker

I'm going to have to figure out how to chop this file up. I
have a program called MP3DirectCut but some weird things
happened in the stream during recording (for example, earth6
mix is divided into 11 parts because the stream was
switching between no song data and where "earth6 mix" in the
middle of the track)

I can take the bits and do it myself. I'm getting pretty
good at editing mp3s now :)

hmm, are you able to distinguish between all the little
short cut off bits? that's the part i'm thinking would be
quite difficult...

You mean the little bits of silence in the beginning of
every mp3? Yes, it was quite easy to cut that out when I
spliced the files. It helps alot when you have the graphical
representation of the sound onscreen, and hours spent
editing sound over the years...

oh, i mean those little bits - did you keep them? can you
tell how many different 'untitled' bits they are? becuase i
imagine they're quite integral to the whole playing at
random thing -- the way they play in quick succession
leading into one of the longer tracks, making it quite
different each time.

Oh, you mean all those drumhit sort of sounds. I don't know
if I got them all, but I kept those that were a part of the
tracks I kept. I couldn't bother sorting them out today, but
I kept my recordings for when I might want to.

It appears that the cue points aren't exactly correct, so I
think I will just be cutting my files manually in Goldwave.

Here are the tracks I listed above:

earth6 mix
kruton/AUTECHRE_REMIX
Peter Saville edited by Autechre - lilac
lupe mx
claps
argument
bowl
phasperc

kruton/AUTECHRE_REMIX is the best out of them. lupe mx is a
remix of pule. earth6 mix is weird. The rest are just cut
up voices and percussive noises.

I hope those links work.

although I wouldn't diss the "cut up voices and percussive

i have 6 hours of the stream recorded, as a direct stream
dump without recompression. i have cue sheets which have
auto created time indexes + track names, but its not exact
because there is a lag in the track names changing so it
will take me a while to sort it out. theprogram detected
250 tracks.
its wierd i dont have all the remixes, only 2 of them.
im going to break these up now.
