Whats a good mixer for turntables in the $80 - $150 range?
I need something for getting great recordings of single
tracks or entire dj sets. Not too interested in scratching.

This would be great. Anyone have any other
recommendations, or perhaps own this mixer?

I have a Behringer VMX300 and I would buy that
instead of the 626. I had a (suspiciously) similar Gemini
626 mixer and it was OK but no cigar. It was cheap
though.

behringers suck...after some time they start to leak sound
from the pfl which means that you can't make anything while
the track is on a break

i sudgest you buy something from the pioneer djm series.

It seems to be the word around internet, but I assure you
mine does neither suck or blow ;)

no problems with bleeds from pfl or any other place. I
cannot say about the other models though (which is the ones
that got the bad review)

Yeah that would be nice except pioneer is fucking expensive
and most of those dont fit in my coffin.

pioneers are renowned as being the best but they are about
10x outside of the price limits given.

I bought a stanton rm-80 4-channel for around 230 CDN, it
has held up pretty well so far

Behringer are much better budget mixers than Gemini
IMO.

If you want just a basic, non-scratching mixer, I'd go for
the best quality simple one you can afford. A lot of the
cheaper mixers load extra features to compensate for the
lack of build/crossfader quality (even if you're not
scratching, you don't want the fader to bleed). Also, make
sure the crossfader is replaceable, particularly if buying
second hand.

Behringers suck!!! They quality is pathetic!! Faders are
heavy to move and they life is very short. Try Numark mixers
they prices are higher but thae are much better. If you have
bit more money buy the pioneer djm 707 now they have a promo
and the sell it at 299$. It`s a perfect mixer for scratching
(very simillar to Rane!!) and a very good mixer for playing
electronic music.

well, you don't need to buy dmj600...the 3 channel line is
way cheaper and much better in eq response and ground.
