Better than the Star Wars prequels. Genndy Tarkovsky should
have directed the films.

these are pretty fucking awesome. i never was a fan of
tarkovsky's other stuff (couldn't get into samurai jack,
might try again though) but these are very cool. much
better than preqels, of course. so far, my favorite part is
the big fight with Mace and all those droids. it makes me
sad that his character is so lame in the movies, because he
kicks a lot of ass in the cartoon.

and thanks pomme!

ah yes.. with the "siesmic tank" hehe a cool thing..

i think my favorite one is the one where the handfull of
clone troopers sneak into the city and totally take out the
giant cannon through a series of hand gestures.

- 1-20 are good. 20-25 are kinda crappy though. Apparently
Tarkovski did 1-20 by himself, Lucas saw them (and loved
them) and asked him to make 5 more that would bridge the gap
between episode 3.. so.. GT didnt have carte blanche with
the script and such for the final 5, and you can tell..
Apparently the last scene in 25 is the opening scene in
episode 3.

Mace using the force to pull all the screws out of the
droid, droid falls apart, mace uses force to shoot screws &
bolts into 4 or 5 other droids, destroying them all.. fuckin
awesome! why wasn't there stuff like this in the movies?

oh yeah that's a good sequence. one image that sticks out
in my mind is a long distance shot of the troopers ascending
the side of that tower with their grappling hooks.

i'm just starting the last 5 chapters now. they do seem to
be a lot more chatty than the first 20. but the scene where
anikin gets knighted is some good drama.

i can feel my recently dissipated star wars geektitude
rising once again with every chapter!

it's funny, it's very obvious that Lucas was in charge of
the last 5 chapters. the coolness level drops
significantly. and he even snuck a little 'dance around the
fire' celebration scene in there!

any hints on converting these to a format playable in a
regular DVD player?
that would be hell of sweet.

they are AVI's and one of them is a .mpg

that would be hell of sweet!

i have a pgm that converts divx to dvd format but it's not
perfect. actually on my dvd player i can play mpgs so i just
converted these to mpg (you downloaded from me in
mid-conversion) burned them to a disc and played them on my
dvd player..

dunno, my computer monitor is 10X better than my tv so im
not too concerned.

does this mean that Episode 3 will open with grevious
kidnapping palpatine? I felt like the 25th installment
ended rather abruptly

that implies though, that the chancellor has already been
captured as of the start of the movie so maybe it won't
actually be in the movie.

oh god, i was getting to be cool again, but then i watched
these and i'm once again nerdish. old and married and
nerdish. so sad!
