Yes but it was important to post that interesting and
informative picture of a cabbage.

In retrospect, don't you think it was cruel to starve her
for 14 days? Wouldn't it be more humane to give her a quick
and painless death?

Yes, but it would have been murder or manslaughter, or
something.

state

i think yanking the feeding tube out of her mouth and
letting her die slowly has the same intended result as
quickly and painlessly euthanizing her.

gillotine

This whole thing was horrible. I wanted her to be kept alive
because there were alternatives. Plus there was talk about
how she could respond. There were alot of things said near
the end that could have maybe helped earlier on in this.

What a horrible way to go. I mean you all know what its like
to be thirsty. But 14 days of dehydration and starvation?
Geez. Thats boarderline depressing.

think of all the people who were praying for this lady,
praying for something to save her, probably millions of
desperate people asking God for his help, and God just said,
"meh..."

!

i think it comes down to the fact that the case was heard in
state court and the decision was made to pull the tube based
on witness testimony. The husband as well as other
friends/family testified that she would not want to be kept
alive in a vegitative state. and several physicians
testified that she was, in fact, in a vegitative state.
They all put their faith in the courts to make the decision
and understandably, the parents were not happy with the
decision, it's their baby!

I think i have a tendancy to project my own beliefs onto
this kind of thing, but really... who would actually want to
be alive in a state like that? I know i wouldn't. Although,
even though i'd say that most medical evidence that i've
seen pointed towards her being in a thoroughly unconscious
vegetative state, why let the woman starve / dehydrate to
death? Surely to god there's no dignity in a state like
that.

In all honesty why would Michael want her to live? If she
recovered he would be a bit fucked. I mean he started a new
life. Kids/wife.

Imagine all the trouble if she would have recovered.

All I know is that South Park got the fucking situation and
hit it right on the head perfectly

the very last thing she would've wanted is to have been
paraded on TV in that vegatitive state. It's one of the few
things I don't approve of.

what i think is fucked up is how on cnn they pretty much
glamorized the fact she got down to 110 pounds from being
almost 200.. but didn't mention anything about her bulimia
and that that's what caused her brain damage in the first
place.

well, atleast from what ive seen so far. the summary of her
life and death seemed very ignorant and glamorized.

i pretty much think this much international attention for
this case is ridiculous seeing as there are far more
important issues people are completely clueless to.

bulimia caused an extreme unbalance of chemicals in her
blood which caused a heart attack which caused her to get
brain damage.
