Remember those discographies you got with rephlex albums
(the braindance coincidense had a list of their
previous releases and rephlexions had
pictures)...what did you do with these? did you read them
then put them away and forget about them? did you put them
on your wall like little posters? if you sold these records,
did you keep the inserts for yourself? do you ever look at
them when deciding what record you want to buy next? have
you never bought these records, and dont know what im
talking about?

i choose the "have
you never bought these records, and dont know what im
talking about?
" option.

Skam records used to have little inserts.

this cd and that cd came with special
peices of paper, or 'inserts', containing info on the label
Rephlex...or mine did anyway.

no, just inserts - a coloured bit of paper with "SKAM" on it
and perhaps a picture. they all looked photocopied.

BoC's "hi-scores" EP on Skam also has one of them.

they serve no purpose but are a nice little touch, I think.

Seeing as this is something that I am sure everybody has
been avidly discussing everywhere else right?

I am suprised ebay doesn't have a separate website devoted
to inserts that have been in albums. I know I would get in
on that shit, cause those inserts are really neat.

One time, I got this insert from a ninja tune record, and
guess what it said? It was advertising three other albums
available on ninja tune in the comming months. Holy! I said
to myself. I didn't think these albums would ever come
out... and packaged in such a nice insert no less.

I rememember when I bought the bug-pressure, and noticed -to
my pleasure of course - there was an insert in there
advertising other tiger beat 6 albums... including an album
by kid 606 available on another label. And How!!!

And once I saw an insert for this label I had never heard of
that was selling the luke vibert nuggets compilations. I
still have it to this day.

Heh... I am going to lay off now.... I couldn't help myself
Sorry :P

the braindance coincidence discography was a nice source of
information for me, for, for example, knowing who and when
released what...
