Heh, an old quake clan site of mine got hacked once too....
they seemed to be very proud of the fact they had gained
access of a site that got <100 hits a month ;)

yes, most site defacers are either 12 year olds or have the
mentality of 12 year olds. i wouldn't even term it
'hacking'; it's often done with automated tools that any
moron can use.

hmm, wonder if it's the recent awstats exploit going around.

heh... schmee must be having a shit fling.

I remember when cylob used to visit warpforum, asking people
what they thought of this or that that he had done, and I
would say I didn't like this or I didn't like that, for
various reasons (all justified, IMO), and he would throw a
fit. So one day I was in the µ forum, and said something
about how much of an asshole cylob was, and schmee started
bitching me out.

Did you know bit meddler did the design for that site?

but that's the wonderful thing about the net. Ten years ago?
Wouldn't happen. Whether you know it or not, Aphex,
Autechre, Cylob, were distant stars pumping out great music.
Never in a million years would I have thought I'd be able to
wind them up personally.

nah, that would just prove that they've got more
business-sense than artistry. besides, they're
12-year-olds.

As well as baisically identify who they are for everybody to
see. Hacking is a serious crime, is it not?

notmyname; I used to like some of cylobs music, but after
having a few conversations with him, I realized that ok
music made by an asshole who feels the need to argue with
you every time they don't get the critisizm they wanted even
when they asked for it!!!, becomes mediocre music. I
still gave him a bit of a chance after he started pulling
off shit like that, up untill he released mood bells.

That is kind of the bullet that he put in his own head,
cause mood bells was really bad any way you try to listen to
it.

well one of my favorite conductor is herbert von karajan, he
was a nazi (& a member!!) since 1933, he was sentenced after
the war...
so, i guess as a man he was a huge fucking piece of shit but
as a musician/conductor he was a godsent.

i dont care about the lad behind cylob, i just like his
music a lot (& yes i like moodbells)

bother to put anything fucking worthwhile up and only do
some text. How fucking great are they? Bunch of pricks.

No. Thats different. If he has tallent, that is ok. But if
he is a barely passable musician, and then becomes a bitch
about it when you tell him that, even when he asks you what
you think about his music. I used to be like "well, his
music is ok, and it looks like he could use the support" so
I would buy his lp's... but then when I found out how much
of a prick he was, I was like "fuck this fucking asshole. I
should ask for a fucking refund".
