I work at Commerce Bank. A rather fastly growing and well
known bank on the east coast of the U S of A. Well to cut
things short it's been rather unbearable lately after 1.75
years of working there full time (with part time benefits
and things etc. may i add) so i asked for a raise. It was
reasonable but yet I was denied. The reasoning was highly
flawed and well I was just planning on staying until July
and then taking two months off to enjoy the summer before I
go back to school.

Well, today I was nominated for the best part time employee
of my region (South and Central Jersey) The award show
(which is rather godawful is I may add) happens to be on May
7th in NYC. This is the night I am going see Autechre at the
Trocadero in Philadelphia. So yeah I'm not going to this
award stuff.

The best part is that the person who called me to tell me of
the nomination (Regional Manager) was one of the two people
who denied me the raise.

So uhm yes. That's my story.

hmmm someone said today that the winner gets 500 shares of
commerce bank stock, but they weren't sure about it

currently commerce bank stock is a little under 30 dollars a
share

this money could go towards my education if i win

i'm going to have to find the specifics about this

how many people i'm up against. who nominated me (if it's my
manager or the regional manager, then it's probably just
some scheme to get me to stay at work and i won't have any
chance of winning) what the exact prize is

it turns out it's actually best part time teller for all the
commerce banks in deleware, ny, nj and pa

there is always the possibility of me staying in nyc that
night and just seeing autechre the night after. the tricky
part would be getting home without staying a second night
