Migraines

used to get very bad migranes, too.

i tend to find they're triggered by things; bright light is
one, and a shitty refresh rate on a monitor is another. if
you're always on the computer, get yourself a LCD screen;
i'm willing to bet it'd help a load.

food can do it too; chocolate, et al. i <3 chocolate though
so fuck it i eat it anyway.

a migrane that made me go mostly blind. bits of your vision
start to dissapear like they were never there.

Shit dude, I thought I got bad headaches. Damn, you really
go get bad ones. That fucking sucks. I've been on
progressively stronger stuff for my headaches. Mine aren't
migraines though, they're tension headaches. My muscles on
my head contract and squeeze my head. I get a bruised
feeling right across my head for days that makes me wince if
I so much as gently touch it. As someone mentioned before
massage of the back of the neck and the shoulders really
helps.

Got concussion in junior high. Mild concussion, similar
lost vision though it was a more exstensive gash down the
left side of my vision. I also vomited. Didn't seem to
affect my migraines.

Well I'm having headaches these days, even with the medicine
i was given. I've seen an aura that got me partially blind
once and I was really scared. I went to the hospital because
I feared a retina problem, as I am badly shortsighted but
hopefully it was only a really bad headache that started
several hours laters.
Now I'm getting smaller headaches but they last all day
long, from when I see daylight til the late evening. I hope
this won't last, cause even if I can bear them now, I'm
affraid of them becoming stronger. =/

I take 1000 miligrams of Ibuprofin at onstet and that keeps
them at bay usually. I have a perscription for Fentanyl for
when they get out of hand.

painkillers don't really solve the problem , do they ? is
there a way to get rid of migraines for good ? what does
your doctor say ?

30 minutes of vigorus exercise a day, deep breathing
exercises, and a strict diet consisting of basically
nothing.. migraines can be brought on by strong odors, like
perfume.. or by changes in barometric pressure, or stress,
or hormones.. there really isn't a single preventative
measure or treatment that can help.. I've had them my whole
life and I still don't know what causes mine. I've taken
daily preventative meds and they haven't worked.

that's fucking terrible...i haven't realised people suffer
from things like that...i mean not that often. a few weeks
ago i suffered a whole night from a terrible toothache, all
night on painkillers...slept for 2 hours maybe. i can
imagine constant pain now...but that's prolly nothing
compared to what you guys go through.

check your spine either you neck-bones are invading your
brain or some nerves could get squeezed.

my dad had something very similar but not that often - he
had always an injection in his pocket because sometimes he
just didn't get to the hospital on time before he really
started to cry of the pain. but my dad was smoking
them, driving 2 hours to work and home, overweighted and
having stress at his job.

when we moved, he changed his job and he quit smoking
everything suddenly stopped.

as i said - check your spine. but if it's not the spine than
i really cross my fingers for you that you find your
solution

o N 02 CA 51 - Dihydroergotamin
o N 02 CA 52 - Ergotamin
o N 02 CC 01 - Sumatriptan
o N 02 CC 03 - Zolmitriptan
o N 02 CC 04 - Rizatriptan
o N 02 CC 06 - Eletriptan
o N 02 CX 01 - Pizotifen
o N 02 CX 03 - Iprazochrom
