Good track. Reminds me of King of Woolworths actually -
something off the Ming Star album perhaps.

3/4 through my first listen, but wow, very nice.

the reference in the original thread made me think i'd be
spurting that this is yet another boc ripoff (i.e. tycho),
but this is still rather unique and only parts are
boc-inspired. it's definitely got its own feel to it.

churn out some more tunes in this style, skink; it has huge
potential.

This isn't a BoC ripoff at all, it definitely has its own
style however, for me at least, it is capable of evoking the
same sort of emotional response that BoC gets out of me.

this, skink?

and hardly like it's really relevant, but what'd you use to
make this?

As much as I thoroughly enjoyed this track, I was put off by
the similarity to Boards of Canada's style. Choice of
synths, the voice, sound quality and then the scratch
towards the end meant I couldn't really escape thinking of
BoC.

Still a great track though.

She really loved it! : )

She had to ask me what a palindrome is though, since she
could find a translation in german for it.

Hehehe.

Yeah all made in reason apart from the scratches. The high
hat sample is a time compressed sample of rain.

very nice track, but i can't stop comparing it to boc
either.

How can you think less of something purely because
stylistically it reminds you of something else?

It didn't have a noticeable effect on my enjoyment, but
there was an element of 'heard it all before' to it. STILL
good music though.

BoC shall henceforth be referred to as that which must
not be named
. Example: "Wow, skink is really ripping off
that which must not be named, but it's still a pretty
good track."

Why is it palindrome girl Skink, Is your girlfriend named
Hannah?

The track is very nice though. Not being a big Boc fan I
didn't really compare it to them like others. I'm impressed
by what you've done in Reason. Very subtle but also very
obvious (That makes sense to me). All in all a good track as
per usual sir.

skink, you should do more stuff like this. is there anyway a
higher bit-rate version could be made available? =]
