The guy that plays the new Doctor, looks more like an extra
in Eastenders if you ask me!

Christopher Eccleston is one of the best actors currently
around, especially known for his work in the theatre.

I do wonder if he's Doctor-material.

YOu know they're taking a longshot at something when they
try and link Dr Who to the Kennedy assasination.

It's a nod to the fact the first episode of Doctor Who aired
hours after Kenedy was assassinated.

I've got it. The music is fine in the credits. I just
preferred the old visuals. They've tried to make them too
fancy.
The music within the show sucks.

American. disastrous.

Music was a bit poor, but this isn't purportedly the final
thing.. I liked Chris Eccleston as the Doctor more and more
as it progressed and after I got used to his thick Northern
accent. He was quote witty... Billie Piper was..... Billie
Piper, but with a puton London cockney accent. The visuals
were again, ok...story was prertty fast paced but pretty
good. Did not like the kiddy humour thrown in for good
measure, case in point being a burping dustbin... fucking
stupid.

Overall 7/10 for this first episode. It would have been a
6, if I hadn't liked Chris Eccleston.

the music is really terrible. trying to sound like a
blockbuster movie, never works.

I don't accept Eccleston as the Doctor yet - he's okay, but
I just don't see it yet.

Piper's boyfriend was a terrible actor.

the use of CGI is what necks it, I think. I always like
about Dr Who how weird the stories were, yet how mundane the
world seemed, almost as if you could reach out and touch it
(make the world wobble).
the CGI just makes it look really fake. the Autons on the
other hand looked pretty okay to me, but that's because
they're really there.

the story was pretty shit - 45 minutes is really too short
to do anything. I did like the idea about a man following
the Doctor's appearances through the ages, but the idea was
really underdeveloped and underused.

WOULD YOU LIKE A JELLYBABY?

There some impersonator out there who does an amazing tom
baker with his baritone vopice that goes up and down.
Remember the episode where he threathens some alien
overlord-type with his universe-warpong weapon, really a
jellybaby, and whne the alien gives in, tom eats it...
fucking classic!
