Well it sounds like them, infact my guess is that it is. There were parts that were SO (ae'ish) !! Although there was something missing from this release, and I think its the reason many of you thought it was a fake. It has no real feeling like its a whole album with a good recurring theme. I dont know i could be wrong, but i have listened to it over 5 times last night while lying down. Today I shall get ripped and try listened again. |

i was sure it was real cause i was really excited and wanted it to be real, but then when i put on confield and draft i remembered what i loved about them in the first place, and realized i found very little of that on the leak. and yes i've listened to the leak at least 20 times now. |

The First Leak is for the hardcore fans, glued to their bitorrents and #autekur swapping gigs of conjecture. The Second Leak is for the slightly lower tier of fans, who want to hear it but maybe won't go in for the shameful e-bumfoolery. The Third leak will be for people that like Autechre A LOT. The fourth "leak" will be the actual album. The fifth leak will be from the fanboys pants when they realise their musical gods are just as fucking useless as themselves. |

I downloaded one of the tracks from the link that's floating around. I am convinced it isn't autechre, mearly someone trying very hard to sound like autechre - either that or what's been leaked are 'outtakes' from the album or something clever to fool the slskers. If the album tracks are the same as the mp3s when it's released i'll eat my laptop. And that's a Skeptopotamus promise! |

"1st leak= very minimalist" I totally agree! it sounds like somone removed several layers from each song and used all stock drum kits instead of interesting sounds. 2nd leak = magnafique! Much more varied, rich textures, etc. If one is real, its this. Who knows at this point though!!! if this first leak is autechre, then today is truely a sad state in IDM music |
