this thread is all about the bands that only use drums and
bass (and singin') in their music. there's a lot of them
around these days.

please list the ones you come across.

the kunka triumvirate:
godheadSilo
enemymine
smoke & smoke

lightning bolt
the thrones
jucifer

I love Lightning Bolt. I'll check out the others, probably.

I'm excellent at discussion.

each bands back catalog into my brain, cause it sounds
interesting but I dont have time for music

thrones

i can't find thrones mp3s on the web at the moment. please
look for the "sperm whale" cd (compiles two ep's) - my
personal favorite release by them. the other cd that's
widely available is called alraune and it has more ambient
stuff.

it's joe preston on bass, weirdo vocal effects that make him
sound like a horde of angelic aliens and dale crover-esque
drumming. if you like the melvins, you will almost
guaranteed love the thrones. a lot of it is pretty heavy,
and a lot of it is beautiful synthy ambient stuff.

yes, so sperm whale is the one to get, imo. great album on
the kill rock stars label.

* the drums are programmed on a drum machine.
