yea. from people i know, what they said.. they said they
would do it again but outside.

there's this wicked park, which is a bunch huge hills over
looking the city with little forests and stuff.. we're gonna
walk up to the top and lay in the grass and do it. seems
more comfortable than in some little room isolated.

yeah haha, i enjoy laughing at the people in erowids
experience section, i know.

i see your point, i was just being a dick, it would be very
interesting to do sometimes. seems to be a lot of hassle
though, and what is there to be afraid of? just sit trough
it. i got really fucked up last wednesday, but just thinking
'its just temporal, itll go away, enjoy the ride while you
are here' helps me.

Come to think of it, I never like to be inside while doing
hallucinogens. Everything seems filthy/artificial.

but see, you can't think those things. when it happens it's
soo intense you actually believe that is your new reality.
you have no way of saying 'it's okay, it's just salvia' you
know?

which is what makes it so powerful. which is the good thing
about it. hehe

yea, i agree.

i hate having such isolating things effect my trips. it
seems there's more options and eye opening experiences from
being outside in nature. more organic perspectives.

you are silly.

drugs are crazy. our minds are crazy. chems are crazy..
atoms are crazy. it's all craziness.

Not the craziness. When I start thinking like that, I start
thinking about all the crazy people I know and I become
terrified that I'm actually like them, but everybody is too
polite to say it.

Besides that, I think seeing the beauty of nature while
tripping is a very positive experience.

Though I don't know if I ever had more fun on any trip than
the time I was inside playing (gamecube version) sonic the
hedgehog head-to-head with my best friend(also tripping),
and that was in my house so I don't want to write off
in-doors completely.

the most horrible feeling i've ever had was when i was on an
acid trip and it was somewhat towards the end and i was
watching tv and that WSPA commercial with the bears came on.
seeing the circus bears being tortured and abused.. it was a
terrifying feeling. i almost cried.

but ive also experienced good tv .. on acid.. watching the
documentary of the deep sea on the discovery channel. that
was intense. crazy demon looking species at the bottom of
the ocean. it was nuts.

i too say day trippin outdoors is the best conditions for
almost any trip, even though my favorite trip ever was spent
inside. me and my gf ate mushrooms and spent the whole trip
with laying down and rolling around on her bed. first and
best mushroom trip ever.

I got stuck in a time loop on salvia one time, for about 15
seconds. It was very scary, because I felt like my entire
life was leading up to that point, where the universe would
reveal it's true nature.
It is not a "fun" drug, its more of just a "hey, let's see
how extreme of an experience we can have" drug.
You may as well huff lysol..

i had an experience similar to that! actually, it was only
similar in that it was a time-loop, but I was wondering if
anyone else had experienced something like that..

what happened to me the one time I actually got salvia to
work was this: I remember blowing the smoke from the hit
out, and then all of a sudden, all I could see were my too
friends laughing out of the corner of my eyes, and the only
thing in the middle of my field of view was the "wall" of
smoke I had just blown out, but like coming out of the
ground sort of... it was like a 5 second loop of laughter
and smoke that kept playing through my head for 2 or 3
minutes. I kept wondering what could be so funny when I all
I could see was smoke. Then, when I came to, my friends told
me it was ME who was laughing the whole time... I think that
was the first time I indirectly enjoyed a drug.

overall, salvia is a gigantic waste of time... even when you
get it to work it's never really a) pleasant or b) very long
lasting.

we're going to do drugs! we'll have a total paradigm-shift,
you know! fuck the suburban banality! complacency is slow
death! we'll liberate our minds from the railroad thinking
of the establishment.

dear sylvia,

what you now take to be a spirit of bold exploration you
will in retrospect recognize to be a symptom of pathological
suburban boredom. you will wistfully recall how your best
friend was totally going to be a poet and you were really on
the edge of becoming an important film maker. you might even
realize how positively boring and teenaged it
was posting about it on the internet.

sincerely,

happy cycling

dude, chill... it's not a make or break experience... not
everyone who does drugs ends up in a van down by the
river... some people actually end up becoming poets and
important filmmakers (you and i could both list off a good
thousand or so if we tried)... it all depends on how you
approach your experiences...

That's true. Like, you know of any great
minds/geniuses/successful people (artistic and otherwise) of
our time that have said "You know, I did acid this one time
and it totally fixed everything now I'm a great person"

offline happy cycling from berlin on 2005-01-30 19:25 [#01482349]
Points: 2786 Status: Regular

man, if you gotta ask...

besides:

yeah, given that the high only lasts a few minutes, it
probably doesn't matter how you feel about it... enjoy!

one of the more idiotic things. as if sheer temporality of
an experience dictates what its long lasting effects are.
the same statement you made there could apply to rape,
theoretically.

offline DeadEight from vancouver (Canada) on 2005-01-30 19:31 [#01482357]
Points: 5437 Status: Regular

okay, i suppose... but i think we are already working with
the assumption that the experience isn't gonna send you into
a tailspin... all the other people who have shared their
salvia experiences seem to be doing okay... maybe if we knew
nothing about it, it would be a silly mindset to enter with
but... really it's nothin' much... i dunno, i'm probably
taking this more seriously than you'd care for it to be
taken... i guess i get sort of defensive about these things
some times...

I'm late arriving to this thread, but corrupted-girl is my
hero.
Salvia is the only that I really want to try, but have yet
to be lucky enough to find someone who has it.
I've considered planting it, apparently a friend of a friend
can make a 5x extract for us. This is the same person who
once got me mushrooms and syrian rue, so I could try DMT.
One of the scariest drug experiences I've had (and there are
a few others), but still enlightening none the less. Last I
heard, he was missing though. Probably in jail.

haha you guys are crazy.

anyways, what a crazy mother fuckin' drug! HOLY SHIT!

i dont know where to start.. or if i can. oh my god. it was
the most intense thing i've ever experienced. it's weird..
you see all these theories of what reality is. i don't know.

i heard a lot of voices too.. which was fucked. anyways.. i
would highly recomend it. i mean, it's NOT pleasent.. in any
way.. except for afterwards when you come off it and are soo
happy you are sober again. but pleasure isn't the only thing
i live for. wow. i can't wait to try it again.

it's really messed up how you don't remember you did the
drug.. so like you actually believe every second of the trip
to be real and you think it's your new reality. it's very
fucked up.

so, it's kinda like the mental equivalent of getting kicked
in the balls by a clydesdale?.. a totally horrifying and
painfull experience, but at least when it's over you can say
"man, that was nearly unbearable, but i survived! YAY!"

it seems like the perfect drug for naive people who want to
come across as leary-ish intellectuals and tell people
there's no way they can possibly understand anything because
they have hallucinated for ten minutes and it provided them
the secrets of the universe.

no.

it makes you see things differently. it makes you realise a
lot of things.

it's like the movie gummo. it's very raw and kinda strips
away superficial crap we get fall into everyday.

it's not something im gonna do all the time. it was just an
experience i though was kinda eye opening.

okay, maybe you did "learn" something. i don't know - it's
