About a month before Audiogalaxy died NME started putting in
every article a link to the site, even including in reviews
of albums "Buy from www.virginrecords.com or download for
free from www.audiogalaxy.org". I'm serious, it was
practically on every page. Now I buy this week's issue and I
see they're name dropping Soulseek with the smugest form of
twatishness that only NME can deliver, and they need to be
fucking told what a bunch of cunts they are.

I'm not saying they were singularly responsible for killing
it since it widely known over the net, same as slsk, but
they are the second biggest selling music mag in the
country, and it probably didn't help.

I just flicked through the latest issue of NME. Jesus, that
rag gets worse every week.
Why?
- fewer articles
- far shorter articles
- huge pictures in favour of text
- charts for everything. who gives a shit what the top 10
ringtones are??
- wanking over average bands: Libertines, Strokes
- not having a dedicated page(s) to underground dance music
(they used to have interviews with Aphex, Squarepusher,
µ-ziq, why don't they have stuff on Venetian Snares,
Christ, Shitmat etc.?)
- not a single mention of Analord
- about 3 times the price it was only 7 or 8 years ago
- shit writers with ugly mugs
- this week's issue had an interview with a bloke from
HANSON (YES! HANFUCKINGSON, mmmFUCKINGBop!)
- they reviewed Fightstar (that skater prick from "we're
English honest" Busted and raved about them!!!

I think Ryan Adams put it best when he said: "What is it
with NME? They hate everyone apart from The Strokes!" (You
can update that to Libertines now. *STOP PRESS* Sorry,
Babyshambles)

There's this great little article on their website.

PETE DOHERTY - 'I'VE FOUND LOVE WITH KATE MOSS'

PETE DOHERTY has broken the silence on his rumoured
relationship with KATE MOSS.

The Babyshambles man confirmed that he is smitten with the
model, telling ITV's Orange Playlist "It's been the best
week in a long time because I've really found love with
Kate".

The former Libertines star explained in an interview to be
screened next month that he’s optimistic about his new
relationship’s chances.

"I think it will last… she is good for me because she has
a beautiful soul and I think I can trust her," said Pete. "I
believe her when she says she loves me and I know I mean it
when I say I love her."

The pair were revealed in Sunday newspapers to have had a
tattoo of each other’s initial done, while The Sun
reported Kate had taken Pete to have a pub lunch with her
parents.

There isn't anything quality to read about anymore. The NME
was always far shitter than it's bizarre sense of
self-importance would acknowledge but seeing it now, it's
like someone's bellicose, attention deficit disordered
grandad who bitterly cannot reconcile hating everything
whilst trying to appear overenthusiastic about every single
fucking band, regardless how derivative/tiresome/same old
same old/shit they are, just in case they appear out of
touch with "the kids". Their poisonous attitude has damaged
music for at least the last 20 years and they should just
stop, because frankly, it's all over.
