you paid for Analord = YOU'VE BEEN HAD

if the tracks that are circulating on fileshare are real
rips of the analord tracks, then anyone who has paid $80,000
or whatever Rephlex are hilariously asking for this record,
has been had. richard james is laughing all the way to his
bank!

it's terrible! it's like pretend-early-aphex tracks that
have been knocked together in 20 minutes by a newbie with a
juno 106 and a drum sample.

all that fancy packaging and overpricing can't disguise what
a lazy piece of throwaway fodder this is!

the Lord aint wearing no clothes!

those fakes are just avarage electronic songs.

very boring compared to the real analord tracks, which sound
fresh and exciting.

the tracks. Not satisfying.

i think it's pretty sweet but no way is it worth $70. no
two tracks ever made are worth $70 no matter how nice the
trapper keeper is!

the price is so high because of the quality 180g vinyl and
the fancy binder. some people just don't seem to get it.

offline Zephyr Twin from ΔΔΔ on 2005-01-19 14:59 [#01467308]

haha, while I think that analord 10 is good music and worth
buying at standard prices, I honestly dont understand why
those who bought it allowed themselves to spend that much on
2 tracks.

Analord 10 + Fancy Schmancy Binder = $70
Analord 08 = $9
Analord 07 = $9
Analord 06 = $9
Analord 05 = $9
Analord 04 = $9
Analord 03 = $9
Analord 02 = $9
Analord 01 = $9

because of the binder, the quality vinyl. and the fact that
it's richard d james, my favourite musician. and yeah, i
don't really want to buy it for 4x the price on ebay a year
from now.

I paid 40£/70$ for ltd heavyweight numbered edition of
"drukqs" - 30 tracks on four 180g vinyl with wonderful
artworks inside. my copy is numbered 0557 of 1000 pressed
worldide. Analord series gonna bring about 30-40 tracks for
the double price of limited "drukqs". But listening to
analord10 I do not feel any "regret". It is one of the most
pleasurable music I own (will own - to be precise:)

yes as a matter of fact it is, but it stars RDJ making love
to analog instruments. I think it's really going to be a

You're one of those asses that are obviously more interested
in raging about Analord because of it's price rather than
the actual music. Either that or you haven't heard the real
tracks. They are no way as bad as you describe.

(there are samples on this site. If you are unsure )
I think Rich spent a hundred grand building his studio.
Maybe that's why its so expensive. A fenix synth is 4 grand
alone.

a velcro flap. ya, velcro would have, like, convinced me to
