I can say that Aphex just won one fan back :)

god damn those beats sound really big and phonky!. that
vocoder-like bass is wicked (reminds me of flow coma remix).
the part that starts after that @ 2:00 is juzz kickass! the
slow part in the last part sounds lush :)

this is different from what he's done before, a nice change
from the fast drill tracks (even though i dig the shit out
of them).

*happy*

easily he won back a lot of fans, because I think this is
what all the AFX fans been waiting for (its nice as
hell!!!).

It's just one track. Not bad. I kinda like it after
listening to it 1.5 times. Sounds a little bit dated.

I wonder how it'll fit into the whole series. It could be a
nice peice of the whole.

Like wmw said it's basically Druqks material with warmer
sounds, hardly staggeringly original. I suppose he could be
easing us in slowly....

(analord)

but I wonder if hes pulling a "MEMENTO" on us? Like hes
starting with the end... that its 10 analord releases.

A question to is HOW THE HELL IS HE GOING TO TOP THIS
release!?!? I think Fenix Funk easily must be one of the
best tracks out of the analords..

I mean why should he put this on audiophile heavy super
vinyl if it wasnt some of the best stuff from the analord
series..

I cant imagine better stuff than this, but im really looking
forward to analord 1-2.

Im even more hyped after this!!

Yes, you don't want full on anal(ord) to be begin with; it
could make you ('re ears) bleed.

He is pretty close to the mark...

Back on topic: xmd5a>Fenix Funk IMO.

I'm not sure about some of the piano parts, seem to clash
badly in places (but work well in others). Good work though.

ah nah. its just about the idea of ppl behind rephlex, you
know, they know that fans will buy everything, no matter how
big the price is. the point is that those tracks werent
worthy 40 quids and ppl bought it anyway. thats pretty much
to say, and i expect records to be more and more expensive
in future, coz you let them raise the price.

and this is all about, really. :P

thats typical afx imo, kinda off beat/ off key but its
seems to fit in some strange way :) I see what u mean Ceri,
but I actually like it. Fenix is the better track tho imo.

The intro in xmd5a is blazing! and the "final part" of the
track :) soooo nice!

tolstoyed: YUP ;)

Yes, it's the sort of thing that'd fail you in a music exam,
but works in a "blue note" kinda way.

the money.
