Ok, just heard fenix funk 5. This is just drukqs-ish material. Aphex is or was capable of so much more imaginative things. I don't care what the deal is with the analogueness of it is, but the end result I listened to lacks the striking eerieness of, say, the first 5 rdj album tracks. Maybe the real aphex twin keeps changing his alias, like otto von schirach or something, for his wicked material but keeps this old one to make money. |
