Downloaded a bunch of Depeche Mode albums from my youth. I
was inspired by some post on here I saw last night titles
"people, people" or something like that.. it made me think
of the song People Are People and I got the tune stuck in my
head so I was forced to download all the classic Depeche
Mode stuff. I have been rocking out to it all day! I can't
believe I remember the words to all these old songs. No
wonder I ended up listening to aphex, some of these wacky
synths sond like MFM.

I haven't heard this stuff in years. Early Depeche Mode
rocks!!

the remix of "people are people" by aperfect circle is nice

early early depeche mode is fun-knee w/their short little
college boy hair cuts

By opening this thread, you have demonstrated that you are
interested in looking at pictures of a man's penis.

Yeah with durable groups like them and New Order, I always
prefer the older, ''dated'' stuff, by far. Speak and Spell
really sounds so wimpy though, heh.

i don't like both extremes really...that early dm stuff is
quite horrible but os is some of their new stuff. i vote the
middle!

Speak & Spell rocks my face. Seems more punk in it's
presentation than any other DM.

I love Speak and Spell and the early singles...I think they
sound quite fresh again with all this electroclash and stuff
going on... I have a massive early depeche collection on
vinyl btw!

Had a listen to Some Great Reward the other day as well, and
I was surprised how much I still liked it, especially the
album tracks they didn't release as singles... I've always
rated Black Celebration as my personal favorite...
