well, that may be the bottleneck of knowing things before
it's even official.

Fantastic! Last year I made a concerted effort to buy their
back catalogue, well, what I could get hold of, got all EP's
and all LP's except Confield.

If it's half as good as Mokira's latest album then I'll be
satisfied.

i've higher expectations on this new ae release than
Analord

but as always, it's bad to have high expectations, the final
results could be "sad"

Yeah, November 2003 I think.

Well, provided this news is correct, we just might get to
see some Ae news on the official Warp site this year.

lots of bagpipes!

Analord 12"-singles (how many?), Ae-album, and most likely
BoC and Sqp-releases too. 2005 is gonna be a helluva
electronica-year.

I am not sure if I am a fanboy or not, but I dont think that
post of mine was a fanboy comment, I just expresed my
preferences nowadays... I didnt say they were the best, I
said they were my favourites... of cours I love their music,
but I though fanboy implied something more radical

i ve never bought any merchandising or didnt even go to a
gig
so I wouldnt even be a proper fanboy

it's the way you say it like a fact (i know you put imo in
the end i was just fooling around a bit :p) i think it is a
bit silly to have best artists, or most solid act or
wathever

and saying aphex dissapeared is a bit fanboyish to me, a lot
of you comment expose a way of thinking about this scene
like a competition

anyway it was only half serious no offence intended nacho
;-)

it would be nice to see some links concerning this new ae.
warp site still doesn't bother showing some information.

Don't worry, IT will be just as "unlistenable" as Confield
and Draft...

I dont think that having a favourite is a fanboyish
attitude

and there is a fact. aphex is releasing very irregularly in
the last 6 years

its not that I understand music as a competition, its a
fact, other artists are releasing more stuff lately

its not neccessarily bad or good... but it is happening

hahaha, thanks (I've been back for two weeks BTW). I had a
pretty awesome semester, and am much less bitchy about
things I consider unessential, rather than being sort of
generally grumpy. I do remember us having a couple fun
exchanges before I was booted..

Autechre up until Confield was amazing. Everything Confield
and after is immaculate. I'm not sure what they did in
2001, but they have been skyrocketing uphill since then. I
simply cannot wait.

i cant wait - hopefully WARP will release this as a cd, ohhh
wait, its WARP they like to make their music available to us
demanders. see REPHLEX, see how easy it is to supply music
on a cd?
