I just noticed that the Rephlex website says the bpms for the 2 analord tracks are 124 and 154. But the most convincing fakes in circulation right now are at 150 and 170. If they are pitched down they sound pretty bad.. as in they weren't written to be played at those speeds..
So, it looks like they are probably fakes. (these are the tracks from the cylob set).
Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Those come with Analord chapter 2, from 20 to 10, which can be compiled in a single binder or you can buy the special limited edition which holds chapter 1 & 2 for an unbelievable price of £49,99. Owners of the previously released Analord chapter 1 series (with binder) can have it at a special price of only £39,99.

Let me get this right...Analord 10 is available high quality style...then 1 to 10 are being released in order beginning with 1 and 2 on the 24/01/04. Following the release of the standard vinyl number 10 in May there will be a double CD released of all the tracks in June costing the sum of £14.99.
Glad that's cleared up.

Those tracks sure do sound like RDJ though (particularly track 2). They may very well be aphex, but probably not Analord10.

I'd put a lot of money on track 2 being afx. Although its a bit too impatient for him I think its because its an edit, but still him. Whered it come from? and if it isnt then who the hell is it? Its a brilliant track.

they are comfirmed not to be analord over on the mu board by mike p. track two is aphex as previously thought i think.
soundmurderer just posted:
Author: soundmurderer Date: 12-30-04 19:20
it was i who said it was some of the best music i've heard... and i stand by it ('cause it's just my opinion, ha).
when i first heard some of the analord tracks i thought to myself, "this is the aphex everyone's been waiting for".
there's this place in town caslled The Chop House. best food of all time. i always get the steak au poivre and some au gratin potatoes. it's the best ever; the flavor of every bite tastes better than the one before.
even after i've eaten there for the next 3 days i'll just be sitting around and have daydreams of peppercorns cruching in my mouth.
it's expensive. a meal for 1 would be about $70 so i don't eat there much at all. so inbetween going there i dream about it and tell others about it and i build it up so much that after a few months have passed and i'm getting ready to eat there again i'm always afraid i've built up my expectations too much (or the expectations of a friend that's never had it before)... but when i take that first bite it's even better than i had imagined the whole time.
to me, the chop house is a proper analogy for analord
oh well looks like all the doubters are going to have to shut their fucking traps.

and this
Author: soundmurderer Date: 12-30-04 23:02
the main point of my analogy was that i was basically saying that i don't think i could overhype it too much.
by the way, some of my favorite aphex track would be alberto balsalm, iz-us, fingerbib, girl/boy song, avril 14th, etc...
so you can apply that to the above post anyway you like

seriously though, there's bound to've been 150 threads on this messageboard alone about analord.
there's absolutely no way it can live up to that hype, unless they're like the two best pieces of musical work in the history of man.
... which i'm sure they will be. i can't wait!

you know those times when you're at a club and you're checking out this girl, and she's beautiful, and you're thinking she's way out of my league, but she's looking back at you, and you walk over, and things click, and she's positively gorgeous, and she comes home with you, and the whole time you can't believe you managed to snag such an impossibly beautiful girl, and then you sleep with her, and she's absolutely, like, amazing, like you've never had anyone as good before, and the next morning she hand-feeds you grapes and annoits your skin with olive oil, and hands over the phone, as apparently you've won some twenty million dollars in the state lottery... know that feeling? to me, that's a proper analogy to analord, only it falls short at describing how it is.
