"Old Boy"

I just finished watching the movie, "Old Boy". My brother
had said that it was one of his favorite films so I had high
expectations for it.
Let's discuss this movie...

My quick 11:40am opinion:
The film picks up a large amount of momentum in the first
half, but wastes it in the second half by trying to tie up
too many uncertainties instead of maintaining the pace that
was established in the first half. :)

Good film, the Hollywood re-make is going to be utter shite.

I loved this movie! Didn't think it lost anything for the
last half, it just turned more into a psychological thriller
than the first part was!

I love it when people assume that just because hollywood has
their hand in it its automatically going to be awfull.

well maybe not awful, but its a pointless remake of a recent
film and I doubt this kind of film will transfer well to
Hollywood. I mean, no other country remakes recent American
films, why can't they just stick to being creative
themselves instead of making remakes and sequels all the
time? Is it a superiority complex? 'We can make it BIGGER
and BETTER because we are Americans?'

Anyway, I liked the film, very original, a difficult subject
handled well and had some amazing action sequences,
especially the one in the corridor with the hammer.
