I don't know exactly. Something around 3000 - 3500 I'd
guess. Haven't counted them in many many years.

My house got robbed a few years ago and they stole my stereo
and TV. For some reason they left all my CDs in a perfect
file and they had obviously gone through them seeing if
there was anything they would like but they didn't nick a
single one. I must say i was strangely offended as there was
some serious classics in there.

as for my order, alphabetical order of artist, followed by

alphabetical order. it doesn't need to be anymore than that,
as long as you know which rough area to look for a certain
cd. someone laughed at me for that, but it just makes it
easier to find something, and its easier to see if you're
missing any cd's etc.

over the years ive had them organized by:

1-artists
2-alphabet
3-styles
4-label
5-colours
6-buying order

actually 5+6...

its always a relaxing experience to reorder the
collection...
