I'll be the judge of that.

Hmm. wasn't Darren Aronofsky supposed to do this?

*kicks dirt*

I don't know if I can allow yet another batman whose costume
is so stiff he is unable to look left or right.

Before Chris Nolan took over, director Darren Aronofsky was
attached to make a Batman movie based on the graphic novel
"Batman: Year One" and have the author Frank Miller write
the screenplay. By 2003 there was a first draft screenplay
with story boards, which are properties of AOL Time Warner.
Warners decision for not producing the film is unknown, but
based on the details that have since leaked out, it would
probably have to do with the screenplay, which strayed a
considerable amount from the source material, making Alfred
an African American mechanic named "Big Al", the Batmobile
being a suped-up Lincoln Towncar, and Bruce Wayne being
homeless among other things. This is all detailed in David
Hughes' book, "Tales from Development Hell".

I'm not up on my bat history, but whats the deal with all
this "traditional warrior training" shit?

i wouldn't go that far just yet... it looks like it could
possibly cross some wierd line into taking itself a little
to serious, kung fu cliché, or something

it was my understanding that batman is just a yankee ninja
with a phat bank-roll!

yeah, actually i am not so sure yet if Nolan is much of a
director. I mean, Memento is good, but it loses a lot after
the novelty of clever editing wears off. but yo! batman yo!
BATMAN??!! yo!

Schumacher pieces of shit!

I hate Schumacher and I hate Bruckheimer. If all directors
were television channels, those two would be espn and espn2.

yeah, schumacher is my least favorite director in hollywood.
mostly because of his handling of the Batman movies!

I'm also finding Tim Burton is loosing his creativity too.
His directing style has become a quirky sort of wallpaper.
He needs to get creative and start trying new shit.

it'd be hard to be worse than the most recent batmans...
batmen... bat... whatevers.

i mean, if they were much more rediculous they'd almost flip
back over into cool territory.

i like the actore who plays Batman. (American Psycho)
But appart from that... It seems Ok.
I'll definnitely watch it. I like action movies.
but it doesn't seem THAT exciting.

It looks good, though it doesn't show much. I don't put too
much stock in trailers and their presentation, the only
thing I got out of this was the badass suit. It'll
definitely be better than the last two discofag Batman
movies.

They should make "nightfall" into a movie. Batman being
killed would be a bit better. Admit it

Knightfall? Was that the Bane storyline from '93? The image
of Batman draped across his enormous knees, back broke, is
unforgettable. Bane was in one of the Batman movies, but
only a cameo... he deserved better, he was fearsome.

And then they introduced Azrael as the new Batman and it was
totally dumb with that futuristic suit and everything. But
the issue where he kicks the crap out of Bane was
triumphant.

The whole series was intense! Then he finally got iced in
Knightfall. Shit with that material they could have like 3
movies or more.

That would be so great! I still got a bunch of them from
back in the day!
