Has anyone heard any of the 86 unrealed tracks yet.

Any good or unreleased with good reason?

i was reading the pitchfork review today. i might still
get it. i've been listening to in utero, nevermind, and
unplugged already today. they are without doubt one of the
finest bands ever.

$27 = £14.

What the fuck. It's £36.99 at amazon.co.uk, which makes it
72% cheaper in the US.

most places were selling it for $39.00

dont even ask mehow they can sell t for that price

my friend at the record store says the list price is at
lowest $35.00, so target is losing monmey each time one
sells

Yeah I was gonna start a thread about who got the set....
but
it seems all us lowlife leechers already are fucking
downloading it.
FIGURES
Oh well, I just hope that cuts into Courtney's profits. The
cunt.

Anyone get the SACD or DD (Dual Disc) of NIN's 'Spiral? The
hard part is choosing which version to get, as they have
totally different features on both of them.

Stop whining you EU foolz !!! "I get stuff cheaper than you
do wahhhhhhh" BOLLOCKS

no, not really. the dvd is kind of "meh". I would rather
have seen a re-release of the documentary "1991 the year
that punk broke".

which is hinted at by the piece that Thurston Moore has
written in the book that comes with the set. sadly Moore's
text is a bit too much prattle.

the cd's are great, though. quite a few of the songs can be
found on bootlegs, but I have never heard them in as good a
quality before.

ah, when he changed the lyrics.. no it doesn't, sadly.

the demo version of "all apologies" is very beautiful. I do
not get emotional easily, but I'm not ashamed to say that
track made me go all teary-eyed..

my brother works in a cd-store, so I bought it through him
for the price of 53 euros (instead of the normal 74 euros,
as it's priced overhere..).

apparently there also limited editions of "incesticide" and
"in utero" coming - supposedly with demo versions, according
to my brother. he thinks they have been postponed because of
this set. I'm not sure whether these editions will actually
be released.

Ooh, it sound like you have the collectors version!!!!

When Nevermind came out there was a girl I knew who kept
taking her copy back because it wouldn't stop at the end.
She felt really silly and told me she had done this four
times. I guess hidden tracks were new then!

there is no track called "laundry room" as far as I can see
on my copy.

and the song that is widely known as "verse chorus verse" is
a song that used to be called "sappy".

vcv was on the no alternative comp, thats when it was first
released, sappy is the very slow version of laundry room,
its kurt and a guitar and he sings it very low.

offline mrgypsum on 2004-11-26 10:31 [#01406124]

my point is that this box set has taken the liberty of
skrewing up some the historical names of these tracks, but
it begs the question, why would it be wrong, when it is
officially releasing them now?

on the set the track that is titled "sappy" has a little
line after it saying that it was retitled to "verse chorus
verse" before it was released.

sappy = verse chorus verse = laundry room, they are all
variations on the same track, just diff recordings

that's nice, but seeing as the people who compiled this set
must have had access more direct than you could ever have
had, I'd still believe them before you.

they still can have made mistakes, ofcourse, but..

well i would say that it is not just my information, but the
only information up until the release of this box, but i
guess this box set is the official release so i cant argue,
but i like my historical stuff better than this whim of a
box set, i like the old name better than what this is trying
to tell me, and i am going to go on that, for instance -
know there is no track called junkyard, but there is a track
called token eastern song, which is really and early
tourettes, but know they decide to call junkyard, token
eastern song, go figure
