what the fuck, thats an incredible ep!!!

its always nice to rediscover afx again...

sometimes i forget who he is and why he is almost god. but
then i take one of his albums and listen to it again and
realise that theres nobody like him, that he is just richard
d. james, the genius, the one. thank you for your music,
richy.

who owns a copy of this amazing ep (1 or 2)?

i own both 1 & 2, with spare copies of each in case
something dreadful happens. i listen to them regularly and
they rank high on my list of EPs.
with HAB2 i seem to like it better played @ 33, cause the
melody deserves that lower tempo. Since HAB1 is cut @ 33 i
don't have that option, but i can play crazycore versions @
45 though :)

concerning analord series, i hope they will signify a
departure from the drill stuff, towards a new, albeit
retrospective, style. much like the HABs where the beginning
of his drill era. let's face it: RDJ can't push the 200bpm
breaks forever.

afx still makes music and will always do I think
but the question is if he will release it, and I think he
will
maybe not as much as he always did

funny thing is, that his drukqs "drill" work resembles very
LITTLE the mass of other products by "musicians" like
ventian snares, bogdan, etc. im listening to meltpace 6,
right now, and i sense a bit of communication towards a
spiritual side of things, 200 bpms and all. imo, i dont
regulate the speed or tempo music as to how it effects the
quality or passion.

on another note, i can;t understand how overrated hab 2 is,
i like the traccks as far as they go, but i refuse to accept
the highest praise from so many people.

ifkardo, slow down drukqs and you open up a whole new album

the thing is, i started listening to HAB2 @ 33, and did so
for years until heard that it was actually 45. i rarely
listen to it at that speed though.

of course, i've been doing this with all kinds of records
since day one, like for instance Port Rhombus, completely
unacceptable at 45rpms, but at 33, absoulute bliss. Lately,
i;ve been using traktor to get even more dramtic effect with
+/- tempo speeds... elusive, i rememb er way back when you
mentioned looping the end of meltphace 6... i did this last
night, just to fuck around.... omg,,, some of the best rdj
out there!
