in that case i believe my fears will become truth. this place will crumble and rebuild with a new regular user list. too bad. i guess thats what happens to all human .. institutes. things. whatever. i guess your community has crumbled under its own weight. you cant reverse direction in a very small timeframe, it requires a shitload of work - destroying the object. neither can you expect to change the attitude here all at once without blowing things up. if you had only got more involved with your own community, you'd know some of the sentiments, the things that keep people busy. setting the place on fire did not prove to be helpful. i assume you dont want to keep the 'troublemakers'. well, youve said it yourself, its no democracy, so B8 them if you must. its the quickest way. also, its the way that involves the least required amount of psychology, and common sense handling people. feel free to ignore, delete, dismiss this rambling, or change your frame of reference a bit and look at things from the other side. getting rid of the madness can be done in other ways. |

i probably banned 50 people on this mb before you even knew this place existed... people who does nothing but keep on arguing about how bad this place is and will come are the worst threat to the community. why don't they just let it go and respect how this board is being run? luckily, the bad vibes are concentrated to a small group of people, which are all sticking together... but tend to do a big thing about it. |

i dont think im someone who keeps arguing about how bad the place is, tis my first serious post regarding the alledged chaos. ive been here for 2.5 years so im not exactly a newbie. you are being dismissive again. its not my board, so i suppose i havent got anything to say about the management - not that i pretended to. i was just making a suggestion about how this place is ran, obviously theres some issues that need to be solved. try to talk to the people this concerns, instead of making humorless replies, deleting accounts and emanating a general kgb-ness. but i guess the words wont get trough. |

this has been discussed hundreds of times before....... i really hate to repeat myself..... if we're discussing hyakusen, it's not the first time he's temp. banned..... he should get the clue..... unfortunately I don't have time to act like a therapist each time someone messes it up.... especially not when history is repeating. |

I'd say that a feeling of vague unease is at least partially there in the back of quite a few regulars' minds. Not all, but a fair few. Constant board-politics arguments are no fun at all though, and often pretty boring, decending into personal jabs. I've not been above that myself. Anyway, I'm pretty sick of them. You don't "owe" us anything phobiaman, and i guess it's up to you how you run this interweb ship, but i stand by my previous comments. Fine, if you want to ban people for "insulting" the mods (although i think "insulting" is a pretty relative term), but all this post/thread-deleting makes me bloody edgy. And i still think you made a bad choice with the new mod, not for any personal reasons, but the jedi fellow seems rather out-of-touch with the, uh, "board atmosphere" for want of a better phrase. He hadn't made many friends here, and on more than one occasion has said that electronic music isn't really his thing, as well as not liking many people on the board. But it's up to you. I just hope the board doesn't fall into the trap of letting all in-joke funz fall by the wayside in the quest for a "perfect" IDM board. That would be very counterproductive, i think. As well as totally sucking ass. |
