this is such an enjoyable listening, really I recomend it
to anyone cos this is really great MUSIC, and I say music
for the non believers of vsnares

so many beautiful trakcs in here, such a grea flow
throughout the album, not really any filler if you ask me...
the album goes up and down, very nicely with great sweet
moments and some harsh too, but all in the right measure

bonitival
cadmium lung jacket
vida
coke ajax

which means songs 2-5 is the first awesome portion of this
magic album.
4 great splendid tracks all in a row... incredible music
moment

i'm not really a fan of mr funk's work, but this album is
sweet as hell. i guess it's due to the lack of cut-up jazz
wankiness, and the focus on nice melodies. i tried working
my way back on his catalouge, but i can only enjoy some
tracks. i still try to appreciate them though, but it might
take some time.

my fav section is track 6 -> end

li2co3 is beautiful, but maybe too long for what it gives...
I see it like the bit of icecream you have between fish and
meat in a wedding dinner

but
ion divoy is again one of those unforgetable tracks

offline nacmat on 2004-11-08 05:43 [#01387397]
Points: 31271 Status: Lurker

what I meant to say is that li2 co3 makes perfect sense in
the album, but doesnt have enough selfmeaning as to be a
great track on its own, like happnes with the next track imo
(track 7)

nineteen 1319 is another huge gemm

and then:

bent annick
aaron
bezcitny

what a way of ending the album

all beautiful, all melodic, all in a very similar mood, but
never boring... loveful cd

that cd.

It's an alright album. I think the melody of Bonivital
however is ace, even minus the fact it reminds me of
Hunchback for the Spectrum 48k. If anyone wants to tab the
intro for guitar(s) and save me the bother, I'll suck your
dick.

Ahh, at last someone else who appreciates Bonivital's
melody. I've been waiting a while for that. For me it is the
best thing about the album.. aside from the ahhhh's on Bent
Annick.

I usually listen to snares for that aggressive energy he
does so well, but this album is a wee bit different, and
none the worse for it. I actually think the shorter tracks
work best... "Aaron" is a lovely bit of music, and
"chlorophyll" is one of my favourite tracks by mr funk.

i really want to check out v snares, and i am goint to at
some point, should i just break down and get the original cd
from planet mu, or should i get the mp3's from
bleep/slsk?......i know you all care, but i am just thinking
here, i did this with bola, and i chose to go with the cd's
- an i thank myself for this decision, but with an artist
like him it is worth it, is it so with snares? (boy that was
long winded)

Yeah, the album is totally solid. I didn't know quite qwhat
to expect from Mr. Snares (having not heard any of his stuff
before) but I must say I was very impressed. Particularly
with the track Vida. It's probably one of my alltime
favourites.

Great album. Melodies are beautifull, and the beats are
tight.

I read a writeup about it saying that if 'autechre had
produced it, it would be their best album to date', and I
agree.

amazing. and from a programming point of view it is
fuckingmad. nacmat are you not on the vsnares board/?

I like it, but is it me or is there a distinct lack of bass
on a lot of the tracks? It can sound kinda thin a lot of the
time (even if there is insanely intricate programming.)

there is a lot off bass, but subtle.

love it all.... but at the end the tracks that I remember
are the first 5 and the last 3

Are the synth sounds meant to sound a bit cheap and

The drum sounds are amazing though.

Because of this discussion here i decided to download the
album. I've listened to some older Vsnares, I never really
got in to it. I hated the cheecy jungle brakes and that
shit.

But HCCBU is real nice. I love his melodies and the way he
uses them in this release. So I'd say this is real lovely.
Thank you.
