what do you people think about making "private message" option here at the mb ? that would be good, we could write many things to eachother very fast, without sending mails, or stuff. every MYSQL board has the option of "PM" im sure many threads wouldnt be posted at the main page, some issues could be solved right with "private messages", right ? mo vote goes for :yes |

well, instead of searchin for email 9 and checking several profiles to get emails) , and sending, and recieving, we could just use PM - that would be faster, and more comfortable. i dunno, its just an idea. |

E-mail and SLSK and all that, that's fine, but I use PMs relgiously on other boards and I'd MUCH prefer that kind of built-in system. Nothing wrong with options, and that's definitely the option I'd dig most. |

I don't think it'd be destroyed at all... not from my experiences with them elsewhere. Let's put it this way... if someone comes up with something clever (or something they THINK is clever!), they're not going to send it to ONE person! The nature of the messageboard regular contains a pinch of attention whore... you want everyone to get in on this shit. Don't worry, people would NOT stop being silly and off-the-wall. We so crazy. It would just prevent topics asking for someone's e-mail address and bust size. |

i think that not everyone understood correctly the idea of PM's at board, part os ppl thinks its something like chat or stuff. lets hope that tune will code it soon so that everyone could see how great function it is :) |

well, if we speak about messages and threads like "hey..." or "only to ...." - then yes. that would clean up the place. but i dont think that posts pointed to all of us would dessapear. PM are normal function on every other premade MYSQL board i visit ( and im active on 4 mb's ) and ppl use it only when they want to direct some posts. that really helps. |

yeah, it's not like we suddenly start doing conversations through the pm. it will only serve as an additional channel of communication, cutting back on the not so useful information (like: hey combo, you got my mail?) |

buzzcocks, not anyone has soulseek or msn. its a pain to check all possible messenger things ... sometimes it takes ages for someone to reply to his email, but with a PM system itll be almost instant we all hit refresh 5 times a sec :D |
