where can i download these games? come on, it's not like i'm
going to buy them, the best ones are over 10 years old. any
tips?

also, i'd like to download oregon trail (original) and
number munchers.

conacure from Alaska on 2002-01-30 06:55 [#00076241]

whoa i remember oregon trail & # munchas. i played # munchas
when i was like 8!

scorpion on 2002-01-30 07:11 [#00076249]

oh crap, I read how THEY wanted to take something pure and
beautiful like videogames and use their addictive nature
based on rewards for learning.

*pulls off mask and performs a fatality on leisure suit
larry*

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2002-01-30 07:18 [#00076259]

I remember Mortal Kombat... to do Scorpion's fatality, you
hold the block button and tap up twice.

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2002-01-30 07:18 [#00076260]

Make sure you're a step or to away, not directly next to
your opponent.

scorpion on 2002-01-30 07:24 [#00076262]

it was wack having to memorize different button combos for
each fatality. the actual game sucked for the most part, but
the fatalities were quite original and funny.

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2002-01-30 07:49 [#00076265]

Agreed. Well said. I thought the blood was really cool,
because I was about 10 or 11.

What the fuck? I'm up at 4 AM conversing with a ninja with a
skull for a face.

doki from grmny on 2002-01-30 09:42 [#00076332]

haha, damn, i remember larry leisure - the first game my dad
had on his apple ... o.k., i´m just getting nostalgic ...
(i loved that game!!) :)

Taxi on 2002-01-30 10:28 [#00076341]

If you want old games, type the name of the game you are
looking for and the expression 'abandonware' into google,
and you should get what you want.

Anyone remember syndicate? Not as old as the other stuff you
mentioned, but still more than a classic.

I used to play oregon trail in school.

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-30 15:24 [#00076394]

me too.

thanks for the tip, i'll try it in a few minutes.

larz-thure i landet runt on 2002-01-30 16:33 [#00076415]

hello.

i got stuck in one the leisure suit larry-games. do you
remember that part where you walk around in some kind of
jungle and reach an airport, but you're supposed to dress
like a girl or something to get in? i could never make it
past that spot... damn!

B3n from Falkland Islands on 2002-01-30 17:04 [#00076422]

Yeah, I always got stuck on LSL, especially the old ones
where you couldn't even tell where the next screen was. The
funniest was where you got a STD off a whore and died..

m on 2002-01-30 20:26 [#00076602]

also search for the word emulator

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-30 22:02 [#00076631]

heh, I remember when I was first getting into BBSing, a
friend of mine downloaded a picture of one of the girls from
LSL, and I thought it was incredibly hot... :)

Man, those were the days. Police Quest and Space Quest were
