Then I laugh even harder at Christians.

only problem is, when you know there is nothing, is too late
for laughing :(

sounds like heaven to me.

you just stop existing. you won't laugh, you won't cry,
because you don't exist anymore.

what is your point?

"rest in peace" as in "sleep well there, relax and get us
some cookies on your way back"

no more .. fuss over nothing, just

no nothing!

I guess I just don't see why it would be problem if this
life is all there is (which I believe it is).

it won't change the way I live my life, anyway.

the problem is the existence of the expression RIP which
shows that humans don't accept death.

If there is nothing after death, then surely it encourages
you to lead a better life, since you must ensure you leave
the world in a good way and teach people not to make the
same mistakes, cos you can't come back like a ghost or a
vision and forewarn people.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

take a leap of faith if you want. go for it. but you still
you don't know what happens next, and in the chance that its
nothing, which is the most seemingly logical answer, make
the most of today.

BLAH BLAH BLAH yourself, your mother and your whole family +
bush.

i posted about the saying "R.I.P." and i get a
solarsystemload of replies about what's after death or not,
i don't give a shit about that, i'm alive now and that's
about enough to deal with. my first post was misunderstood
because i didn't mean to ask if there was something after
death, i meant to ask "what does RIP mean if once you're
dead, you're just and only dead, period." (a long period
LOL). i was just thinking about "R.I.P."

or did i just misunderstood you post? (can't be arsed
reading again :)

a-HA.

next time, try actually explaining what is you want to talk
about.

just calling a thread "RIP" and then posting "what if
there's nothing after death?" in the initial message doesn't
necessarily help much, as you yourself have seen.. :P

anyway.. it's become just an expression, doesn't mean
everyone believes it exactly, just like lots of people
celebrate Christmas without actually believing any of the
Christian sturf surrounding it.

No, you are not. You are flirting with the life/death
"wikked teen taboo" thing. This is Shit.

Personally, i find the concept of everlasting life a great
deal more scary than that of 70-odd-year life and then
rotting in the ground. Perhaps that's my obligatory
teen-nihilism phase kicking in! Awesome!
