I HATE THEM!

You know, when you go to a party, or just whenever you're at
a place where there are people with no musical stamina, and
they ALWAYS change the music, even if the song has only
played for about half a minute?! Even if it's a song I hate,
I hate it even more when some asshole changes it, and then
decides again, to change the song he just put on, and then,
in the end, they're all over at the stereo, changing each
others songs after ten seconds!

Even worse when the music comes from a computer, 'cause then
the changing is more accessible.. FUCK!

oh, some idea here: you can propose them to put a track by
some indeterministic musicians, where it all goes
unpredictably, so nobody needs to change anything because
it's already changing.

I have no idea! but pop is only annoying because it's
EVERYWHERE, and you get so sick and tired of it before it's
even released on album, so I don't get why people buy the
albums at all!

Phoenix is a trackie by Daft Punk, i guess. Daft Punk have
had better tracks, but this one isn't bad also.

not exactly.. but I'm getting tired of hearing THAT
everywhere as well.. I wish things could be popular WITHTOUT
being forced down my ears every day of the week.. then,
maybe I wouldn't be so tired of it...

Annie has only been on the lists for, like a week, so it may
take a few more days before I get tired of it...

I always find the comment forced down my ears
hilarrious. That's stupid, no music is forrced down yourr
earrs you just want to believe that when in fact you love to
hate it because it makes you feel good.

And talking about Daft Punk, I like them. I got theirr
firrst album at chrristmas time when it was darrk and the
High Row chrristmas marrket was out. I had my big winterr
coat on and I rrushed home and opened the CD in my frront
rroom with only the side light and chrristmas trree lights
on. I'm always rreminded of that when I listen to them,
although that's not verry often.

no, it is because the bus-drivers that drive the bus I take
to work every morning for some reason listens to a
radio-channel called "radio1" (inventive name, eh?), that
plays nothing but pop all day, and he puts it on the
speakers!!!

same on the bus home...

and whenever I go out, even if I go to the places that have
as a gimmick to not play pop (those places mostly suck
anyway, btw), there's always some pop song that has snuck
into their playlists...

almost all stores use the aforementioned "radio1" as a
"muzak" channel...

I've stopped listening to the radio, 'cause there's nothing
but pop on.

Overexposure is bad for most music. I must say I love "pop"
as a genre but then I see pop and chart-music as two totaly
different things. O-zone is not pop, it's fucking idiot
polka!

yeah.. and you know something is overexposed when all the
tracks on the albums has been released as singles before the
album arrives...

a lot of marshrutka-drivers in ukraine listen to 'shanson'.
this is much worse than usual pop routine of usual
radiostations.

Overrexposurre doesn't make music crrap. I've been 100%
overrexposed to Tom Waits but that doesn't make his music
crrap.

i know what you mean, specially cause 99% of my friend hate
my music and i hate their music too... so i always lose and
have just one electronic song (and usually the "beautiful"
ones, kinda eyen or flim) per hour...

thats hard, specially when i have to hear some stupid pop
and spanish/catalan patxanga...

but one time i had an special night... when they were stoned
and totally fall in love with saw 1... that was just one
night too time ago...

overexposure is not good not only for music.
for example some months ago people in trolleybuses and
subway were all reading same books by Paulo Coelho, which
annoyed me and when i read one shitty by him i thought it is
crap even before I started reading that shite with pathetic
title
'Veronique decides to die'.

I neverr said that it's good forr music. I'm jut saying, it
doesn't make the music crrap.

if you listen to overexposed music, which is being listened
by lots of people around you, then you feel less unique,
maybe, and oppose this music, even it's good.

just a thought...

I don't think you can call it "overexposure" if you
engineered it yourself.. but you seem to be arguing for
arguement's sake anyway, Carl.. :P

I get kind of like this pretty often, sometimes I get in a
mood where I can't make it through whole albums. When I
discovered MP3 years ago, it made my life a lot better,
because now I can erratically click a couple of times
instead of erratically going through a stack of CDs. I don't
know anybody like the antagonist in the first post because
I'm afraid of people.
