Damnit.... bandwidth was exceeded about halfway through my
reading that (you got another source?).... but it still
looked just as good as I expected. It sounds like my Radeon
9800 pro'll be able to run this as it ran Doom 3 just fine,
albeit at lower resolutions and after I got the new drivers
for it (I was getting pissed at the constant crashes before
that). Only problem is I might be going away by next month
and have to wait at least a few more months to play it. I
sure hope not...

basically, it got a 96, it's amazing, the characters are
amazing, and the gravity gun makes it mind-blowingly
radical.

I got at least far enough to read about that gravity gun and
it's definitely one of the things I'm most looking foreward
to. Well, that and destroying offices and... everything else
for no reason other than I finally can. I've destroyed
everything possible in the original.. I've destrtoyed
everything possible in Doom 3, (unfortunately, there was far
too little to destroy) and I'm waiting to do the same in
this, and it sounds like I'll have some real fun this time.
Oh yea... the game looks fun, too.

that's weird.

Valve have said that there is a strict embargo on all
preview reviews - they were supposed only to be published
(be it on paper or on the net) on the day of the release of
the game itself.

They appear to have said bollocks to that. It got 90% in PC
Gameplay. Dutch mag I think.....

People are complaining about that. HA! Wankers.

about what?

is 90% too low?

TALK TO ME, CHRIS!

yes, PC Gameplay is Dutch. never heard of it
though, I'm not much into those magazines anyway..

People are complaining that it got 90%. They say it's too
low. I say they're wankers because:

a) They haven't played the game

b) How the fuck is that low?

BAM!

I'm talking baby ;)

hmm. it's a full review - they played the whole game
through.

I might have to bow down and buy this one..

I'll be getting PC Gamer :$

I don't like that mag but it's the only UK one with a review
imminently. They're such wankers at that mag. Or at least
they come across that way when they write.

basically all gaming magazines are like that... bunch of
25-year-old wankers who are trying to impress a legion of
14-year-olds - and succeeding at that.

I just ordered that magazine, I feel dirty now. I need to
take a shower. :(

hehehe

Edge is a good mag. They don't seem to be trying to impress
anyone and with Mr Biffo doing an article every month
you're sorted!

I'll like it on PC?

Cult films etc. No programs or hollywood stuff. Some
cracking horror films on there. Best torrent site I've found
:)

it's great simply because it has stuff that is old -
which, as silly as it may sound, is very rare on the
internet.

that site.

on the Halo front - the PC version uses the standard
mouse-controlled movement spiel, which is just the best way
to play any FPS.

I'm enjoying the running/driving around guns-a-blazing a
lot! :)

I can't wait for this. Does anybody have any links to
screenshots of the original Half-Life remake, HL-Source or
whatever? A 4.5 second search that I put no effort into
yielded little results.

more hardware with a little bit of games, which is what i'm
more about.
