george lucas has inflicted a grievous wound in my soul with
everything he's done since the early 80's.

a character in episode III, which might "kick ass" if you
are six years old.

please note how you can easily tell it's a George Lucas
creation on account of the subtleties hidden in the
character's name.

If you want to angrify some geeks waiting in line say
something along the lines of "So, is this the one where
what's-his-name turns into Dark Vader?"

offline idle interloper on 2004-09-22 14:49 [#01342609]

Or say something like, "They really should continue this
series and let you know what happens after all
this junk. Three movies just isn't nearly enough... I
want to see what happens to Jar-Jar."

He totally kicks ass in the cartoon man, anyway I'm pumped.

You know they're taking it seriously when the bloke who
voices Bender in Futurama is doing the voice of the Star
Wars Villain who's a robot...

its made for kids, which is why the main character kills all
of his friends and gets tossed into a pit of lava, then
comes back and tries to convert or kill his son, who may
have the hots for his sister.

i like how its being intended for young audiences excuses it
from not being pure shit.

Giginger: the futurama guy was only voicing for the
Clonewars cartoon.
Theres a strong chance Gary Olman will be voicing for the
actual movie.

Still tho , im kinda skeptic to this villain , as everything
else he is making these days.
The four lightsaber swinging arms thing is so over the top
(to say the least) .

no, Oldman dropped out.

According to Gary Oldman's management company, Douglas
Management Group, the actor will not be voicing General
Grievous in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith as
has been previously reported:

"Gary was offered, and agreed to perform in the film, in
fact he was excited and looking forward to the work. The
snag that made it impossible however is that this film is
being made as a non-SAG (Screen Actor's Guild) film. George
Lucas and gang agreed to hire Gary Oldman if he in fact
would become a union buster, and perform work illegally
overseas. As a resident of America, and also a member of
SAG, out of respect and solidarity with the other members,
he could not and would not consider violating his union's
rules."
