One Hit Wonders?

Velocity Kendall, Tara, Pharoid, DC Duo's. Who are they?
All are listed in discogs.com with only one Gescom remix. If
you remix Gescom, you should be able to get more stuff
released?

"If you remix Gescom, you should be able to get more
stuff released?
"

why?

probably are pseudonyms.

well, obviously they are pseudonyms.. but I mean of
more wellknown artists.

But who can it be?

Drunken: Seriously? Are you drunk?

no, I just don't see why remixing gescom would make you so
much of a genious that you'd get all your stuff released...

OK. Maybe the rest of their stuff is totally shit, but let's
say it's not. If you own a small record label, an artist
with a connection to Warp/Skam/Gescom/Autechre should be of
interest?

I mean.. I could remix gescom and have it released, but I
doubt you'd like the rest of my music if you didn't like it
BEFORE I remixed gescom...

It's like if any band that played a beatles-song should be
released 'cause they could play the beatles.

(uncompromising spam: btw: check my two new tracks
Krack and Polka)

not necessarily.. I could probably do a remix of Ralph Myerz
and have it on a record just 'cause I know him a slight bit,
but that doesn't make me good.

you're namedropping unknown names!

he's norwegian, and thus bigger here than anywhere else...
I'm talking to another norwegian.

Hi qrter!

I doubt Gescom/Autechre would let some silly non-talented
mates remix them, just because they were mates. And the
remixes ARE good

DAMN YOU! You made me look into Gescom (never heard anything
from them before), and now I want to buy it! I don't have
the money for such things! Damn you and thank you!

And if you could do a very good remix of Ralph Myerz, and
have it released on an "official", it bet some small
underground labels would like to talk to you

er.. I think they would... haven't you noticed how the
entirety of Warp and all those record-companies like it
consists of people who know eachother from before.

I've just seen the name a few times, but I've never taken
the time to listen. Now I NEED it.

formed only for the remix-jobs on ska010this/that? i really
don't know. just speculating here. maybe phobz know

I think it must be some of the unknown members of Gescom or
aliases

i've wondered this as well. not that i would consider them
one hit wonders.

velocity kendall always seemed like an anagram containing
'keynell' in it. perhaps they are one time names of some of
the unknown members of gescom.

Perhaps, but i think Velocity Kendall refers to the actress,
Felicity Kendall. She was quite pretty, or fit, in the 70s.
In the 80s she was just fit.

A show she starred in was called "The Good life", and as you
can see, she's quite stunning.

The aerobics girl is not her...

Here's a list of '80s one hit wonders that I had in my bookmarks, fun stuff. I
loved that Murray Head song.

Even Patrick Swayze got in on the action! Hot diggity.
