Romania (rōmān´ēe, -ye) or Rumania ,
republic (1995 est. pop. 23,198,000), 91,699 sq mi (237,500
sq km), SE Europe. It borders on Hungary in the northwest,
on Serbia and Montenegro in the southwest, on Bulgaria in
the south, on the Black Sea in the southeast, on Moldova in
the northeast, and on Ukraine in the north. Bucharest is the
capital and largest city.

The Danube River, which forms part of the border with Serbia
and Montenegro and almost all of the frontier with Bulgaria,
traverses Romania in the southeast; its tributary, the Prut,
constitutes most of the border with Moldova and Ukraine. The
Carpathian Mts., of which the Transylvanian Alps are a part,
cut through Romania in a wide arc from north to southwest;
the Carpathians' highest peaks in Romania are Moldoveanu
(8,343 ft/2,543 m) and Negoiu (8,317 ft/2,535 m). The
country's climate is continental, with hot, dry summers and
cold winters; severe droughts are common during the summer.
Romania includes seven historic and geographic regions:
Walachia , Moldavia , Transylvania , and parts of Bukovina ,
Crişana-Maramureş , the Dobruja , and the Banat .

The great majority of the inhabitants speak Romanian,
although there are also sizable minorities speaking
Hungarian (8%) and German (2%). Other ethnic groups include
Ukrainians, Serbs, Croats, Gypsies, Russians, and Turks. By
far the largest religious body is the Romanian Orthodox
Church, which is independent of, but similar in dogma to,
the Eastern Orthodox Church. There are universities at
Braşov, Bucharest, Cluj, Craiova, and Timişoara.

From 1948 until 1989, Romania had a Soviet-style command
economy in which nearly all agricultural and industrial
enterprises were state controlled. During those years, it
built an economy based largely on heavy industry. Romania
remains one of the poorest European countries. Industry
contributes over half of the country's gross national
product (GNP) and accounts for one third of the labor force.

Wales:

Living like a cancerous cyst on the abdomen of England. It's
main industries are tourism, being rude to tourists and
burning tourists' cottages/caravans. Wales has a colorful
history, it's own language and some stunning landscape.

Heroin is readily available in Welsh towns such as Cardiff,
Swansea or Port Maddock. If you ever fancy a day out, Wales
is great for spending the day behind a caravan/trailer on a
one lane road.

alright, italy.

capital:rome - great city (i bet most of you have been there
numerous times), great architecture, plenty remains from
roman times, coloseum being the biggest (probably). also
city of vatican, the holy city with (polish) pope and
everything. cultural city all the way...plenty of art
exhibitions, music events...basically everything that comes
with every big city.

then there's rich north of the state with cities like milan
(fashion industry), turin (car industry - fiat), bologna.

venice, everyone knows this...city full of beautiful canals,
squares, churches...famous for a carnival that happens once
per year...also a really nice film festival. plenty of other
culture events...everyone should visit this city once in
their life.

more up north there are the alps and apenins, with plenty of
beautiful mountain roads, great viewing points, nice
scenery. also plenty of ski-fields which turn into
mountainbike filelds during summer.

south of rome there's napoli - which can look a bit scarry,
it's like a city you get to see in some old mafia
films...but as a big contrast to the city, not far away
there's a beautiful city of sorrento - you can get a boat
there and visit an island capri which is really
beautiful/make sure you visit out od main tourist season.
you can also visit ruins (which are very well preserved)
Pompei, it's under the vulcano Vesuvium - you can drive up
there as well, if you're interested in seeing the
crater...and in a clear day there's a great view on napoli
bay.

proceeding more to the south, there's pratically nothing but
poverty. with only thing worth seeing an island Sicily (and
some smaller vulcano - Stromboli islands close to that).
sicily is an beautiful island...when you get out of the
urban area...into the mountains. also there's a very nice
tourist city called Taormina (worth seeing for roman
remains). also visit palermo and if you're a fan of
Godfather films, corleone (which is a pretty boriing city
apart from its name).

then there's an islan sardinia - i haven't been there yet,
so i can't say much. the scenery is supposed to be nice,
with plenty of wild beaches on one sice and plenty of fancy
beaches for the rich people. their president (berlusconi)
has his place there...supposedly an huge area - he likes to
invite other european politicians for spending time there.

my favourite place in italy is definitely Tuscany...the
scenery is beautiful, very inspirational. beautiful fields,
vineyards, great food, vine. awesome.

the most popular sport initaly is football (i think), but
they also love all kinds of motorsports (ferarri being their
pride).

in the early summer/spring there's a cool music festival in
San Remo, where italian artists compete, but they always
invite foreign artists as well - always the biggest names in
that year. some of that music is pretty awesome actually...

they also have quite some of good electronic artists - most
of them being on rephlex (lory d, pasarani, d'archangelo,
bochum welt,...).

people (well i mainly know people from various gigs) are
very nice and friendly...you can get around with english,
although it's better if you know some italian - especially
in the southern italy and sicily.

hmm, what else should i tell you? :)

We're leaving together
But still it's farewell
And maybe we'll come back
To earth, who can tell
I guess there is no one to blame
We're leaving ground (leaving ground)
Will things ever be the same again
It's the final countdown...
The final countdown
Ooh oh

The Netherlands:

- Capital is Amsterdam, although I believe the houses of
parliment are located in Den Haag
- They have a royal family
- Four biggest cities are Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag,
Utrecht
- Has about 16 million or so people
- About 30 percent of the countries is below sea level
- Prostitution and Soft Drugs are not exactly legal I don't
think, but are tolerated
- The Netherlands is bordered by Belgium, and Germany
- Main language in The Netherlands is Dutch, but most people
speak English
- The Netherlands is commonly refered to as Holland, when in
fact Holland is just a region of The Netherlands or
something

:P
