I must say I was very surprised - they actually think there's an audience for this. in the meantime, Paramount decided to drop all plans to finally bring out season 2 of Twin Peaks on dvd. go figure. |

no. I only found out about this about a week ago, but this was already known in november of last year (the last few online articles on this subject are from that time). artisan won't be doing season 2 because season 1 didn't sell enough copies, not enough to cover the cost of the season 1 set. then paramount (artisan is part of paramount, or something, I can't remember) said they were still going to do a region 2 version, in two sets. I e-mailed the Dutch offices of Paramount a week ago and I was pretty surprised to get an e-mail back with a straight answer - they've shelved those plans. they might still do it, but it's highly unlikely. this sucks in such a huge amount it almost makes me vomit. there is a petition for the release going on petition-online, but I've never heard of one of these petitions actually changing anything. (did sign it though..) |
