Firewall: Kerio Personal Firewall
Anti Virus: Norton

Antivirus: Nod32 - cheap and well worth the modest
fee - most reliable antivirus ever, mindlessly easy to set
up and doesn't slow down your system or hog memory at all at
all

Firewall: Sygate personal firewall - free but would be worth buying -
they have versions that cost money and have extra
features...

ill give the trial version a go. either i'm getting deja-vu
or i've asked this question before (which is probable) about
the same time last year. i remember being disappointed when
it didn't pick up any viruses. but you're in a strange
situation where you don't know it's working until you get
affected (!).

Haha me too with the deja vu - I'm always telling people on
here about Nod32. Such an excellent piece of software.

None.

Never had a virus except that one worm a few months ago that
made your computer restart.

how do you know you don't have a virus unles you have an
anti virus program to tell you you haven't got a virus?

firewall SYGATE. great tool.

virus: symantec products are generally crap and make your pc
slow. try KASPERSKY, excellent software with very frequent
virus definition updates. i´m very lucky with that one.

Firewalls, are they really worth it. The only time I ever
even hear anything about them is when someone says "oh gay,
it won't work, must be my firewall"
