Forr weeks Hotmail has been pesterring me to enhance my Spam filterr and now: Enhancing your junk e-mail filter ------------------------------------------------- Your junk e-mail filter has been set to Enhanced. This means that most junk e-mail will automatically be delivered to your Junk E-Mail folder instead of your Inbox. Messages from addresses in your Contacts list will not be sent to your Junk E-Mail folder, but you may want to check your Junk E-Mail folder from time to time, to ensure that mail you want to see is not being filtered as junk. Yeah, that's what annoys me: but you may want to check your Junk E-Mail folder from time to time, to ensure that mail you want to see is not being filtered as junk. Now I'm going to have to actually go to the hotmail page itself to find out if I have mail that I may want to rread. |

So bascially they're saying: All that spam you don't want to see is going straight into a special folder so you don't have to sift through it to find your e-mails. We've made it so good that it'll get your mates e-mails too so you have to sift through the spam to check taht e-mails you want aren't in there. Am I alone in thinking that that is NOT an improvement? |

yes, this may be paranoia, but it really seems sometimes that it's supposed that users will check spam folder after discovering there normal mail for one or two times. Actually, that's what I do in my yandex account since I found one letter from XLT in spam folder, and some mail from my friend. Though, I do not open spam messages, seing only the subject. By the way, one letter from xlt member JAroen arrived right into spam folder in my gmail account. |
