Is it just me or does it seem that pitchfork don't listen to
the CDs they just read the press release and paraphrase it.

total crap. - there´s absolutely nothing left of what once
made them (him) a great band.

I watched them on Leno a few weeks ago, the track they
played went in one ear and out the other. But I'll at least
download a couple of tracks before I write it off.

my best friend, who went through high school listening to
the cure just like me, bought it yesterday. he says it's a
very dark, very angry cure album that does remind him of old
cure stuff, like pornography. i tend to trust his
judgement.

nice sounds good.

The Cure are one of the few bands to still be making amazing
music at this stage of their careers. It really annoys me
when people just say whats fashionable, like ' they used to
be good', 'they've lost it', probably without even fucking
listening to any of their output for years.

Bloodflowers was awesome, i expect this to be at least as
good as that.

heard the new song, its alright. i suppose considering how
old they are you have to give them a bit of credit. not alot

i didn't think i would be dissapointed but I am. This new
album sounds like an album purposely made to be as
commercial as possible and to ride the waves of the sudden
upsurge in interest in the Cure over the last year or two. I
haven't listened to it too much yet but I don't think this
one will grow on me much.

SHIT! just found out the nu-metal producer has signed on for
3 albums :(

"THE CURE have signed a three-album deal with nu-metal
producer ROSS ROBINSON's I AM record label.

Robinson, who helped launch the careers of Slipknot and Limp
Bizkit, issued a statement saying the band have been a
pivotal influence on his work. "The Cure has been my
favourite band for years and years. They were instrumental
in my approach to production. It was The Cure that opened me
up to a more sensitive, heartfelt type of music, and I've
been extremely loyal to that feeling in every project I've
done since then."

the new cure album is a shit attempt to cash in on their
former brilliance.

i guess they got skint.

utter pap.

like 'the streets' they haven't moved on at all.

except it's been fifteen years for the cure.
poor. very poor.
