"he's not the one beheading contractors and civilians" true
but he is the one who is sending them there...

ive seen the movie
and i have read the article.

i can say that the article while correct on a couple points,
really makes some stretches to try and discredit Moore.
Moore also offers rebuttals to issues raised in the article
on his website which totally knock down statements in the
article.

the film is a powerful statement because it tells us FACTS.
Facts that the american public SHOULD know and a lot of
americans do know, BUT when you put all the facts together,
and start drawing connections between them, it is a much
more powerful statement. of course it's bias. but I think
the movie makes it quite obvious where Moore is voicing his
opinion and where he is stating a fact.

one example:
it is a fact that Cheney was CEO of Halliburton.
and it is a fact that Haliburton is one of the major war
contractors in iraq.
It doesn't take a genius to realize there is a great
potential for conflict of intrests.

Before you judge Moore's film, you should at least see it.
Then you would at least have a little more authority to make
the claims you are making.

well look, if you want to see Fahrenhiet 9/11 and don't want
to contribute to Michael Moors' credit, just by a ticket to
Dodgeball and walk into the F 9/11 theatre. i'm sure its
what he would do if there were a rightwinger movie (HA, like
that would happen).

Why am I a hypocrite? I have supported human rights and
animal rights NGOs for 20 years while working under Don
Brash at the Reserve Bank (the opposition leader in New
Zealand) who is bed with your government and CIA. Your junk
culture is exported around the world..we have no choice in
the matter....bleeding propaganda and rhetoric every day on
our television sets... a dose of reality and you attack
other people... personally I pissed at Don Brash for
inflicting your government think tanks efforts to undermine
our democratically elected government ( we have the first
transexual Minister of Parliament in the world and we
working to allow gay civil unions, almost marriage).

I also take personally your AK47 comment as I lost a close
member of my family to a gun accident which destroyed my
aunt giving her years of nervous breakdowns because the
police called a suicide. I hate fucking guns.

Under Don Brash when Rogernomics cracked the backs of the
trade unions, my friend )after being made redundant)who was
a teller at the Bank went to work for a security firm in New
Plymouth and was taken by gunpoint in a armoured cars killed
and buried in a shallow grave.

So stop crying its pathetic...and learn some manners.

haha yea he just has his RESPECTED HONORABLE army perversly
torture and brutaly kill iraqi prisoners with their dogs.

sorry, but a quick and short beheading seems a lot more
'humain'.

bush is always saying how the iraq and the middle eastern
terrorists are inhumain and animalistic... i would STRONGLY
dissagree by looking at the facts of who does what.

and um.. who put the future iraqi government in power? just
like afganistan.. the american governement assigns who THEY
wnat to run the countries they are abolishing. so OFCOURSE
they are 'welcomed' there and aren't being kicked out.

the bush administration is being terrorists to these
countries that have never harmed us. wanna blame someone for
9/11 , saudis. not afganistan, not iraq.

and besides this, what about the mass consumer terrorist in
the united states? that's a FAR greater threat to the
american country then osama bin laden and these so called
'terrorists'.

you really think president bush is looking out for his
people's greatest interests?

try to find facts that back that one up.

but hey, if your american and naive enough to vote for bush,
then you deserve actions like 9/11, consumption obsesion and
to be fooled and treated like a chimp buy your government.
you get what you give..

I have news for you regarding the killings.the war..all
perpetrated by US for corporate interests...divide and
conquer...this kind of stuff is currently happening in NZ
with Don Brash who is trying to incite racism under of
advisement of the US. It is no different in Iraq...Bush at
the world leaders meeting was sitting next to another despot
from Uzbekistan, known for human rights abuses. What you are
seeing is engineered, to the vested interests of business to
put down any form of resistance, there is no freedom in
Iraq, just rhetoric. The majority of the country like
Afganhistan are worse off under this so called puppet
government and the opportunity will be used to keep the US
led coalition in the country permantently. The Iraqi people
like Africans (blood diamonds)will be subject to aid and
slavery $2 day for forced labour under a World Bank style
policy prescription inflicted on many LCDs.

The beheadings...engineered for maximum effect...started by
CIA to bury the Abu Gharib atrocities so you wouldnt see
that poor woman. David Berg was dead before they beheaded
him, there was no mess... the other US contractor in Saudi
what ever his name was worked for Lockheed Martin designing
infrared targeting systems for Aphace helicopters. Yes the
ones you are seeing recently are real as the TREND catches
on, isnt that point.

I am pleased to hear you care about others, how about
showing it more than once in while...I dont think anything
less of Americans or you its your media that is making your
country look bad and thats noones fault.

IS THAT YOUR MAIN REASON FOR VOTING FOR BUSH. Do you listen
to Rush Limbaugh all day at work or something?

Estate tax: Its the tax farmers children will have to pay
when they inherit the farm. AKA: DEATH TAX

Bush repealed this tax right saying that it was causing
farmers to have to sell their farm land after the original
owners died. So bush repealed it. But the Estate Tax wasn't
just affecting farmers, it included everyone even the
richest 2% of the population. Now using logic, we have just
abandoned a GREAT DEAL of the income for our government and
destroyed our econonmy in the process. But heres the best
part about bush's lies. FARMERS (and small buisiness) ARE
EXEMPT FROM THE ESTATE TAX!!! WOW!!!

So by repealing a the Death Tax, Bush, Cheney, and their
cabinet members are saving MILLIONS OF DOLLARS while our
economy goes down the shitter. Awesome.

cutting taxes would be fine if bush hadn't increased
spending more than any president in history... for me that's
my biggest beef...that our nation is hugely in debt paying
for bunch of unessary shit...like the war on drugs and
incredably oversized military....not to mention pointless
goverment jobs, corprate welfare such as farmer subisides
and of course regular welfare.... if kerry wins at least
he'll be stopped (by the republicins) if he tries to
increase spending while bush gets the green light on
everything. screw bush(swrew kerry__) i'm not voting for
either i'm gonna sit back laugh and have a cerry coke.(and a
hot dog)

michael moore = leftist propoganda
rush limbaugh = rightest propoganda

if think that either of these people are not propoganda then
you are known as a hard liner. the only people who will
vote for bush are hard liners...since bush has proved
himself a falilure on dang near every issue(ok everyone)
of course we have kerry by all standards a worthless
rat...with a horrible voting record but with one asset: he's
not george w bush. i would say 80 percent of the people
voting kerry don't really like him but just want to get rid
of bush.... this why the dual party system is killing the
country...we need more choice.

here's my bit, i'm not reading all the posts so sorry if
this shit is old:

I'm really fucking happy about the fact that there is a
movie being advertised on fucking network television
that talks about what a shitty job bush has done as
president (the bush game is a great edutainmental game
along the same lines)

But i'm fucking pissed that my views have to be represented
by micheal moore. i mean sure i guess it's fair that both
sides have a loud fat man to give out "facts" about the
opposite party, but i really don't want anyone to think that
i am anything like him, or the majority of the audiences
that would go see the movie.

I definitely like Kerry better than Bush, Its the same as
in 2000, picking the lesser of two evils.

but i didn't vote at all in the 2000 election for just that
reason. in retrospect, i wish i had voted even though it
wouldn't have made any difference; Gore won my state's
electoral votes anyway. but that just further hammered in
the feeling that "my vote don't count, so why bother?"

except this time, picking the lesser of two evils also
entails "sticking it to Bush" from which i expect to derive
some pleasure.

john kerry wants to be our president, while claiming that he
relates to the avg. joe right. he wants to raise the income
taxes to the rich, well guess what. he wont pay those taxes
because he's already riche instead, he will make it harder
for you to get rich, by raising the taxes on the money you
make!

if by your you mean israel or the us, we are NOT imposing
our religion and tyrinical diplomacy onto others. we're
defending ourselves from those who harm us. what do you
think would happen to israel if they weren't one of the
strongest nations militarily? Most likely it boils down to
the PLO and its sister organizations creating some atrocity
too big for Israel to ignore. our troops will try to crush
the palestinian authority and neighboring arab states will
attack Israel on land or with missiles to defend islamic
honor. eventually the israeli state would be overtaken by
the palestinian gov't/terrorists and will declare an
onslaught towards israel. this is the world i live in. i
dont know what world you do.

yes i can answer that question very easily. because Israel
is willing to SHARE jerusalem not have it taken away from
us and be abused by islamic fundamentalists. there are
palestinians living in israel at this current moment.

mortsto-x

we went to war with the belief that saddam hussein had wmds.
everybody knows there wasnt any INSIDE iraq but the Iraqi
facilities were dismantled and sent both to Europe and
around the middle east. at the rate of about 1,000 tons of
metal a month. destionations included jordan, the
netherlands and turkey. ballistic missles along with surface
to air missles were found along with other dangerous weapons
interconnected with Hussein's regime. not only was there
this, but he was doing business with the infamous kim jong
Il for weapons. He is also known for his work with the kurds
killing over 100,000. He had his entire nation repressed
through a butcher like regime... the list just goes on he
needed to be dealt with.

i believe having saddam hussein removed from power was a
very good thing, so that in itself was worth it. there are
still alot of wars going on, for example the sudan/african
ordeal going on now. theres still alot of problems out there
that need to be addressed. i would prefer bush over kerry
any day because kerry is a tree huggin hippie, ever since he
served in vietnam he strongly opposes any act of war unless
its to counter attck some atrocity towards americans. i
wouldn't mind for other countries to have nuclear plants for
energy, but right now i dont even like the fact that any
country has wmd's but god knows given the turmoil and hatred
in other countries its the only alternative. i gotta go.
peace.

I went through the pain of reading this article, only to
find out that the author seems to be unable to give a
coherent argumentation.

The only 'lies' he point out are actually no lies. He point
out some inconsistencies, which is quite something different
then lies. Now it's hard to lie nowadays since the US
administration set some new and very high standards lately.

He points out that Moore seems not to hold the same opions
about certain issues, which is a rather irrelevant remark.

well actually Bush did get elected, but basically because
our electoral system is screwed up. something people have
still yet to fix. my mother and i had been going on about
the system being foul for years, and it is in cases such as
a very close election like 2000 that its fails to work. if
there is a wider margin then the system is fine. but thank
God for technicalities cause Gore is a drooling retard. at
some point it just becomes a battle of who is less retarted.
at least Bush is funny.

and he will get reelected again. it only seems like Kerry
has a chance because of the vocal minority. i'm sure most
people here will vote for Bush.
