we went to war with the belief that saddam hussein had
wmds.
everybody knows there wasnt any INSIDE iraq

a belief that stems from lies perpetrated by the bush
administration. and since everybody knows there wasn't any
WMD INSIDE Iraq, I guess thats why they sent inspectors
INSIDE to find them.

the Iraqi
facilities were dismantled and sent both to Europe and
around the middle east. at the rate of about 1,000 tons of
metal a month.

so he disarmed himself, and we knew he disarmed, so Bush
came up with another reason to attack: Ties to Al quaida,
which to this date have still not been proven.

He is also known for his work with the kurds
killing over 100,000. He had his entire nation repressed
through a butcher like regime... the list just goes on he
needed to be dealt with.

nobody will contest that Saddam is a bad guy. of course he
needed to be dealt with. but why Saddam? everybody knows
why. the bush administration just won's admit it. we wants
the sweet black nectar of the desert and ole Saddammy is
sittin' right thar on it. YEEHAW! BLOW HIS ASS UP Y"ALL!!

Aside from Kerry being a tree hugging hippie, why are you
voting for bush again? (and please dont say "because Kerry
this..." list some good points about bush.)

elections will be determined by movies.

christ on a stick.. . propaganada is a formidable force.. .
look at the number its done on children talking.. . its so
strong that itll make uninformed people fight for something
which ultimately will only turn and bite the hand that feeds
it. ..

america will be better off with John Kerry.. . but even if
he turns out to be the best president in history Im not sure
if his one term will be enough to clean up the mess bush
made. ..

also while we are at it can someone explain why a "tree
hugging hippy" is a bad thing? better that I would have
thought than a "oil guzzling monster" that cant wait to doom
us all to a speedy apocalypse. ..

this is exactly the kind of rhetoric that the Reich, opps i
m mean Right, spreads around here. By here i mean, butte
county, california, which is one of the poorest counties in
our state. i can take a (scary as fuck) walk down to the
other side of the tracks and hear it all day. "one of these
days, we'll be rich if we vote for bush, because hey, he is
rich, and umm, white." actual conversation i've had, poor
folks, think they can make it one day, that is why they
support tax cuts for the rich, because eventually, they
beleive, it will benefit them.

you are gonna love this, f 911 opened in the local theater
yesterday, and beat spiedy!!! and a follow up, hitler,
stallin, etc. all beleived they were "fighting" to protect
them selves, doocumented facts! check Stallin's archives, he
felt that his actions were for the betterment of his nation
and the world, miserable fuck. stallin that is, NOT you, not
that there is anything wrong with that.

ifkardo the same could be said to all leaders who are
fighting for a cause. the difference between them and bush
is that he, that being bush, didnt take the initiative in
killing innocent civilians. my argument isn't whether or not
it was for the betterment of "a cause", but what the cause
is for. Bush removied a dictator who killed in a massive
scale- over 100K of his own people, kurds to be exact. if
you watch the news now they'll soon enough air saddam
hussein in court where he will be charged witha long list of
criminal charges, ranging from homocide, assisnations to
genocide. could you or monoid make a distinction between
dictators who killed in a massive scale for an unreasonable
cause? hitler's motive were for killing those who opposed an
idealogy (arian race) based on ones own religion and
ethnicity. therefore killing millions upon millions those
being the jews/gypsies/ etc... women and children in
concentration camps for the sole purpose of starving them to
death or eventually to be killed by gun shots to the head or
put in gas chambers to be later disposed in furnaces or dug
in massive graves (i can go on in specifics with the
atrocities towards the jews but i think this will be
sufficient to get my point across). stalin was a russian
communist dictator, the one behind mass executions and the
catyn woods massacre, killing millions upon millions of his
own people, through political paranoia. If he didn't like
someone for their political views, family ties, or just
plain didn't like them they were summarily shot, or thrown
into a gulag, you'd still die in a gulag, but probably a
worse death. the fact of the matter is you're supporting
monoids ridiculous comparison- for that reason alone i dont
find it suitable for a response from me or anyone with any
basic historical knowlege and logic to distinguish between
an american diplomatic president and communist/fascist
dictator, but i figured i'd give you a little history
lesson. doesn't seem they're doing too good of a job in
Guinea.

well.. this thread seems to be heading for more and more
extreme arguments, but i'd like to interject with my own
personal opinion; that the leader of more or less every
powerful nation in the world has blood on their hands,
however much of a decent person they seem to be.

whether it be through organised genocides, turning a blind
eye to the militia's more thuggish and brutal persuasions,
trade sanctions, war, political assasinations, foreign
policy, poorly executed interventions in other country's
affairs, lack of intervention in other country's affairs,
deposing dictators, appointing dictators, the arms trade,
government sanctionned medical and scientific experiments,
underinvestment in health and education, tax hikes,
underinvestment due to tax cuts, etc. etc.

they make the decisions that millions of people live and die
by. if you manage to get by without being noticeably
affected by the poor decisions that are often made by world
leaders, directly or indirectly, you should count yourself
very lucky.

they make the bed.. and we lie in it.

Israel is supposed to be the modern democracy, the only
civilized country in the region.

I find this hard to reconcile with their practice of
shooting small children in the back from helicopters and
bombing residential neighborhoods because some informant
said someone they want is inside somewhere.

Before Israel came along with so many radical Zionists
itching for a fight, Jews and Arabs got along fine in the
region.

monoid i'm not going to bother debating with you anymore
after this because you take things and twist them around,
for example you mentioned about palestinian children being
killed by our military forces, do you ever research things?
these very same 'victims' are victims of a society that
reward violence towards the jews. they're are raised through
anti judiac semsami street like tv shows which teach hate
towards israel simply because we exist. these children are
put explosives and sent towards israeal or equipped with
semi automatic weapons. they are victims of hate. SO DONT
EVEN GO THERE.

hmm..

i wonder who's to blame for that then?

who would have been foolish enough to go in and start
carving up the region, moving people off their land and
apportioning to foreigners?
who would have been foolish enough to give away land that
wasn't theirs to give in the first place?
who would have been foolish enough to destablise an entire
region based on post WWII guilt and a claim of
land-ownership based on a 3000 year old religious document?
whose naive foreign policy and unwillingness to accept
responsibility has resulted in almost half a century of
civil unrest, terrorist attacks, civilian death and social
scars that will not heal for decades to come?

who COULD that have been?

you'll be surprised how many people think like him...I would
say he has his right to his own opinion but the facts about
Bush and what he is doing is in our faces everyday and still
he and many others are going to re-elect that rat bastard.
