get 'bytes' by 'the black dog' or some balil stuff on ART then... check out Plaid. Plaid of late is pretty tame and average but their earlier stuff weighs it all out. You can hear the progression/regresion

It wasn't then........ it was pretty revoloutionary. I still think it's great, not just the rose tinted spectacles thing. some really nice compositions. Now they make music for the money, they know when their advance runs out and they need to sell some records or do a tour. They've put themselves in that position though..

generic, yeah. i agree. black dog never really "did it" for me, even when it was new. though when it was new, i was more into industrial music so black dog was too fruity for my goth-rockin' ass.

I love Black Dog and the old school vibe. Bytes is 5 star no matter how you slice it. No guarantee that you'll like Black Dog just because you like Plaid, though.

I really like the P-Brane e.p., so that might be worth checking out, but I also really like both Spokes and Double Figure, though they are strikingly different. P-Brane kind of bridges the gap.
