It's been like a decade since their last release, and I
wasn't even that fond of it. I'd be mildly disapointed, and
wonder ''what if?''. Freescha would more than fill that
melancholy synth void.

i wouldn't care unless they release an album this year.

hey i just noticed that on newest 2600-magazine, there's:

Inspirational Music:
Boards of Canada, The Ruts, Elvis Costello, Deodato, DJ
Dangermouse, Coil, Jean Michael Jarre, Debby McClatchy,
Tenacious D

piss at his listeners kinda way.

They are perfectionists, it will be ready when it's ready.
Would you have given up by then or something?

By the way: It hasn't even been two years since they
released geogaddi, and plus don't forget the cLOUDDEAD remix
eh?

you're right, I guess the "a few old tunes" unrelease could
fill the void for some time more. Maybe some of Aphex twin's
friends should convince him to do something similar since he
can't be arsed releasing any of his songs officially from
that 3000+ stockpile.

If they split I would question why grown men where allowed
to get into such a state of disrepair. I would call for a
public enquiry to find out why the police didn't vet them
better. I would then cook some kippers and feed them to
homeless people.

They'll allways make serious music for serious young men.

Someone once said they make seedy music for paedophilic
young men.

That someone was me just then, but I don't agree with it.
Virginpusher made me do it as he has a history of BoC
bashing.

I can see Virginpusher having a 'Rainbow Wank' (where you
lay out all your 'art pamphlets' in an arc open at your
favourite page, while you kneel infront of them, trousers
down) over all his secret BoC Cds

you kids are so impatient.
drukqs was only out in 2001..

then you had the 808-state/dj-pierre men1 remix release

and smojphace wasn't half as bad as some of you make out.
sure, the b-sides are pretty much just obnoxious noise - but
the bug remix was pretty good fun.

with such a hefty back catalogue theres plenty of rich's
work to revisit & appreciate in the interim until a new LP..
if there ever IS another LP

granted, BoCs backcatalogue isn't as extensive, but there
seems to be a trend on xlt of people impatiently hyping up
releases before they come - talking about artists as though
they owe people personal favours to deliver exactly what
they want.. and then there's inevitably a backlash once the
release actually appears.

remain calm. be patient. take up a hobby. listen to other
music.
good things come to those who wait.

maybe, it would make me a bit sad for the people who love
them, but it would also make me happy because people will
eventually stop talking about them all the time (after all
the "shock" of the split will be over)...

on second thought, i'm not sure it would make me that sad
for the people who love them (and especially not for the
fucking maniac boc-philes who hail them as the wonderful
awesome gods of bestest music in the universe or whatever
-_-), and people would still talk about it even when they're
split up anyway.

so, all in all... i wouldn't care.

Hmmm, well there we have it then...

Why does it bother you that people talk about them alot?

It happens for a reason dude...
