the first track that i actually realised was Aphex Twin was
"At The Heart Of It All" from NIN's Furthe Down The Spiral
album.

The first Aphex Track I had actually heard (but not realised
it at the time) was The Garden Of Linmiri which was used for
the Pirelli advertisement. I must have seen that ad when I
was about 10 or 11, and I've always liked that track, I just
never knew who did it (up until a couple of years ago that
is)

funny little man.. thought it was very funny first time i
heard it, i dont think it's one of aphex twins best track
but it was still good enough to introduce me to the rest of
come to daddy then on to rdj album then on to druqks wich
made me realise that aphex twin is one of the greatest imo..
and thanks to aphex i found squarepusher and since i started
listening to those electronic artist i have gotten into
allot more great electronic music lately, and now i love it!

Come to Daddy

and then I fall in love with BBB - I found the idea of
introducing a damped ocscillator in a 'dance' song extremly
brilliant. I was like 'he this guy puts maths in a dance
track' and thanks to audiogalaxy I discovered Autechre the
very next day.

drukqs
the first listen always seems to be the best

i wish i'd heard him earlier, i get the impression SAW 85-92
must have sounded visionary when it came out, listening to
it now its hard to get a sense of how good it actually is

ive said this before:
nothing can top the listening experiences i with the samples
on aphextwin.nu of drukqs, mount saint michel/saint michel
mount (yes the 1 minute included both the tracks and the
transition) and vordhosbn (aprox. 1 min 42 sec)
twas interesting how the samples seemed to sound completely
different then the real thing. i was a bit dissapointed when
i got the cd at first. vordhosbn for instance i thought had
no build up while in fact it was a sample of exactly that
build up. i thought it'd be just 6 minutes weird music. a
well
