i don't if anyone here read "the beach", although i'm sure
plenty did, but hes got a new novella out called "the coma".
its pretty weird, sort of uses his last book "the tesseract"
as a jumping off point but isn't nearly as long or, in my
opinion, pretentious. anyway, its loosely about dreaming and
captures experiences related to that pretty well. give it a
go.

"the tesseract" was one of the most boring, pretentious
pieces of shit I have ever read. I will never read another
of his books.
Anyway - glad you're enjoying it!

Sounds a bit like The Bridge by Iain Banks.

matter of taste I suppose, I just found it ridiculously
dull.
I liked "the bridge" though
