so.... for the last 2 months, i've been on the internet via my x-room- mates laptop, and now he needs it back. my computer had the internet, but then my aol got canceled, so now i'm looking for web sites that will send me a free cd, so i can install internet to my computer. does anyone know of any websites that will send me one for free? (one that is not aol) also, it's 2 am and i'm tired as hell, so i may have explained this a bit retarded. errrrgh. |

right now i'm still on the xroom mates lap top... but he got 3 free months from aol, and it's been 3 months in a few days... so i won't be able to go online anymore, if i don't find one of those cd's :-( |

Most local small ISP's don't require a CD. You just pay them and you dial up to them to connect. |

you don't need a cd. you go to "add new dialup connection" and enter the phone number, username, and password that your isp gives you. |

I see your problem. I don't live in the USA so I can't help either. Are there no electrical stores there which have CDs? Does AOL really have such a stranglehold over there that you can't find other people? Wow, does THAT suck! |
