"too much talked about." and it's really annoying/frustrating when you just find it average, and everyone praises it as the new music messiah or something - same with boards of canada. (i bought a cd from them both, according to reviews from lots of people from this board... well, now i know i shouldn't believe the hype, even if it's in a community i like =)) it must be the same with merzbow, for people who don't like him - there has been so much topics about him. well, actually... i think the topics about idm are the ones which interest me the least on this board now! ^^ nacmat > most of the mp3 artists i've heard on this board (ok, i haven't heard *that* much either, but some which are excellent) are better than venetian snares in my opinion... but it's just my opinion of course! |

well, not everyone... with venetian snares and merzbow there is always a lot of discussion and people who hate it and people who love it and i think i've made grammatical errors in this sentence. |

i don't know... depends on your point of view i guess : ) but you get a point, surely if you're hated, you're also talked of, and then more and more people hear from you and want to check your stuff out... so maybe having more and more people hating you makes you have more and more chances to get fans as well ...this said, i wouldn't like being famous and hated. |
