omg omg!!!

omg!!

everyone that gets a chance should go see them!!!

the best gig i was at in a VERY long time...this is what
music is all about, these guys put everything they've got
into this and it sounds amazing. at times all you can do is
to stare with opened eyes and have that silly WTF/LOL
expression on your face.

i always loved that heavy dirty guitar sound by buzz
osbourne and he played a long solo part - just that awesome
hard sound for like 10 minutes, and some trashing break
inbetween couple of times.
trevor dunn and dave lombardo are totally excellent as well,
and then there's the crazy patton :)

there were quite some noise ambient breaks...it was very
noisy at moments, similar to merzbow - the only difference
that it was played live, with patton screaming...

i'll say it again, if you get the chance don't miss them! :)

I have never heard fantomas.
the word even sounds like an expression for 'greatness' in
slovenian :)

Mike Patton is the closest thing to an evil genius villain.

that describes him really good...maybe this will be a bit
disappointing for all those faith no more fans outhere, coz,
well, they make it look funny - but the real quality is in
that...amazing what they can do!

I have never heard of the band before, so I didn't know the
word before.
and to me, in this context, the word even sounded like it
could mean something like "great" in e.g. slovenian :)
really glad you're happy now btw! You need that!

You should definately check out the "irony is a dead scene"
EP he made with the Dillinger Escape Plan. Also "California"
by Mr Bungle. Actually he's in about half a million bands.

wow. I really like concerts, but I rarely visit them.
So what kind of music is fantomas? Some kind of rock I
assume?

basically it's rock music, with metal, breakcore, ambient,
noise, speedcore, and everything else you can think of...

you like rough stuff if i remeber right, im sure you'd love
these guys...they're all superb musicians, playing in many
excellent groups...i guess fantomas is something where they
can show all their creativity, because they don't stick to
any paterns...

In "directors cut" their second album they fuck up movie
themes like "the prophecy" or "the godfather" etc.

i've only listened to director's cut for now...but delirium
cordia it's on its way to me :)

i'd say you can't get wrong buying either of those.

hah they look crazy. I feel they have a bit of the same
style as e.g. pearl jam or some other rockers.

hehe, pearl jam are like boy pop band to these guys :)

buzz osbourne is the guy that has introduced kurt cobain to
rock music...they wee big fans...melvins are among my
favourite rock bands and i saw them live when they were
opening for nirvana...

trevor dunn, worked with tom waits, john zorn and many other
fantastic musicians...

dave lombardo - is playing drums for slayer, and hmm,
clearly one of best drumers at the moment...

mike patton...no need to introduce him i guess :)

in Faith No More.

hmm, i liked faith no more...saw them playing live too :)
but the things he's doing with fantomas and mr. bungle are
something else...he's way more than just a great vocal -
he's one of those poeple who's only point of being alive is
to be able to play music...especially live...
i mean, they're playing infront of small crowds...there were
like 500 poeple there tonigh, but it was fully packed...what
im trying to say is that they could have played in some big
place infront of 5000 people but obviously they don't care
about that...excellent guys.

fantomas is incredible live. i've seen them play 9 or 10
times and it's always incredible. definitely check them out
if they come to your town.

although, i wouldn't really call them a rock band exactly...

one, you can barely make out buzz playing guitar on the
left, and further left is one of dave's drums.
