Glad it started working again. I saw some decks just like yours in a store in town the other day and it reminded me. We very nearly had a repeat incident at mine a couple of weeks back... a glass nearly got knocked over a deck and an amp. The glass sort of teetered and then (thankfully) didn't fall over. Bloody absinthe! I've got my exam timetable now, so hows about provisionally we say you come down 28-30th of May? Also, any more news on the Cardiff trip. |

Don't be silly, the exams are weeks away. I'm still finishing my coursework due in tommorow. On the down side, I can't do an all nighter as I have to give a presentation tommorow that carries a fair number of marks. :D If you'd (or anyone) would like to help, please post links to detailed resources on cutting edge CGI techniques in animation. what are you doing for your coursework? i slaved away for 6 months writing a midi sequencer/editor and the bastards only gave me a 2.2 for it. this maybe something to do with why i hate midi so much nowadays. :) |

My major project is in, it was on graphical synthesis (procedural texturing). It was pretty good, I didn't manage to get the marble texture to work (coding good turbelence is a bitch), but made up for it with some pretty good water. I reckon I'll get a 2:1 for that (provided I don't screw up on the presentation tommorow- I shouldn't, I know the subject inside out after spending about 20 hours a week on it the last 8 months...) Coursework I'm doing now is on techniques used in animation programs like Maya. I have to select 3 and write about them, I'm doing keyframing in Poser, Particle/fluids in Maya and I need one more technique, but I'm stumped. Any suggestions much appreciated. How long ago did you do your degree? Did you have it (sequencer) actually controlling a synth/whatever for the demo? |
